Return to Redlin by Lazette Gifford

Return to Redlin is a romantic adventure novella

Ginger returned to Redlin after her failed marriage and buried herself in a calm life, working for the Senior Center during the day and as a clerk at the Gas and More at night. But when the high school bad boy, Derrick Weston, returns after ten years to attend his grandfather's funeral, things take off in ways she didn't expect.

Old rivalries and new robberies put the two in close contact -- whether they want it or not.

Enjoyed the Story very much. The grammatical errors were hard to read through, but the story was not hampered by the distruptions. I wish the story would have gone on for a few more pages though. Did 'Prince Charming' take his 'Snow White' to his 'castle'? If there would have been just a little more closure I would have rated it higher.

Absolutely loved the end. I just wish there was a little more to it. Maybe an epilogue.

The story was actually pretty good considering how short it was. I wish the ending had been better, it felt lacking.

I actually liked Return to Redlin. It could have used a little editing but the characters were very likable. The story is a true study of human nature and how we are often erroneously judged as the same people we were as children.

Derrick was in Redlin for his grandfather's funeral. He didn't know his grandfather very well. He has a step-brother named Junior. he caused a lot of trouble with Derrick when he was with Ginger at the gas and More where she worked at night till midnight. And Miller who was the cop who told Junior to leave so he did. When Derrick was walking Ginger home that night someone has vanderlized his car. It was the night before his grandfather's funeral. So Ginger had to pick him up for the funeral that day. They had gone to the grave in Loma. Her car had ran out of gas. And Junior had picked them up and he had gone into a store and robbed that person and now the cops were chasing after Junior and Ginger and also Derrick were following them. Derrick and Ginger had fallen out of Juniors truck. It was snowing she had ran some where's and so didn't Derrick. Derrick hurt his knee but he was still running. And Ginger had fell on her hands twice. She had found Derrick near a tree. Junior found them and also his dogs too. Miller had gotten the two Westons. And he had coffee in the car for Derrick and Ginger and they had gone to the hospital in Loma. Derrick was a cop. He told his sister to bring the kids to Hawii they would have fun. He wanted to take time off for himself. She had made it to the Apple Days in Redlin and her uncle was Johnny Appleseed. That is my home town here in Leominster Mass where Johnny Appleseed was born. I enjoyed this novel ShelleyMA

This was a quick and easy read. No real depth, some minor grammar mistakes that editing would take care of. But overall, a pretty okay way to spend a lazy Sunday.

Nice story, marred by lack of proofreading. Ending left some of the storylines unanswered (who was Derrik's father?, what happened with the children? did Ginger leave her hometown, or return to school?).
