In Revelation: The Return of Mr. Breeze, author Morrie Richfield revisits journalist Michael Ryan after the mega success of his book about Zack, the being that revealed himself as the god humans pray to. In the new book, Richfield explores the controversy that Michael caused by telling Zack’s story. The mixed reactions to Zack’s warnings about the future of the human race lead Michael, initially, down a path of self-destruction, and then to a revelation about what he can do to save the world. After going on a journey across the country with Zack and witnessing him perform miracles, including curing all diseases, Michael submits to Zack’s command that he write a book about what he’d experienced and learned. After the book was published, people’s opinions about the story clashed. Some people believed that Zack was actually God. Others decided Michael was a messenger for the devil. As a result of the violence that results from the conflict, Michael goes into hiding. When he finally resurfaces, Michael embarks on a mission to save the world. In Revelation, Richfield expands on the principles he offered readers in his first book, Mr. Breeze: religion is a creation of man and people have the free will to choose love over hate. The author also focuses on Michael as an individual, describing his transformation from a selfish man who had never loved anyone or believed in anything, to one who sacrifices all of his resources and offers his life to save humankind. The message of Revelation is simple: Human survival is the responsibility of the people, not Zack. The same free will that is exercised to create war and discord can be used to repair the world to the vision Zack originally had for it. With a little help from a compassionate neighbor, Michael makes a brave attempt to lead the world away from destruction. Revelation: The Return of Mr. Breeze is an enlightening expansion on the challenges to human life introduced in Richfield’s first book. It is a simple story about human vulnerability and redemption.
