Workaholic Isaac hasn’t been back to his hometown since his father’s funeral two years earlier, pushing his family away because of a painful secret. Hanukkah and a forced vacation lure him back to Atlanta, where he’s reunited with his two lost loves— an old motorcycle and his sister’s best friend Giada. While rediscovering his passion for both the bike and the woman, Isaac rebuilds his heart.
Giada has lost her Christmas spirit since returning home to care for her dying parents. Left alone, she struggles to return to her successful teaching career, choosing instead to stay in her hometown. Only the unexpected return of her high school crush Isaac brings any joy to the season.
The transitive nature of Isaac’s visit and Giada’s fear of abandonment keep them from sharing their whole hearts, but certainly not their bodies. Their desire for each other is hotter than the flames of a menorah and they take advantage of their limited time together by burning up the sheets. But once their secrets are revealed, their hearts will do all the thinking.

I adored this book from the beginning to the end. I know this is off the wall but I enjoyed the way the author described Hannukkah. I have heard about it before but I never knew what the Menorah stood for, nor did I know the traditions that took place. Issac was a workaholic, and he never took the time to enjoy his life he just worked. When his partner told him to take some time off he went back home for the holidays. When Issac returned home he runs into Giada. Issac has always had a crush on her but never acted because Giada was his sister's best friend. Issac finds out that Giada also had feelings for Issac. Issac hadn't been home since his father died two years ago. He was so estranged from his family that they didn't even know that he had been engaged or that she had passed away. Issac is ready to start living again. He finds out to his surprise that his Mother kept his Harley from his teenage years. Issac is determined to rebuilt his bike and his life and start living again. After all, it is the season for miracles.
*3.5 Stars* I was in a mood for a quick holiday read and have always wanted to check out new-to-me author A.S. Fenichel so Revving Up the Holidays was perfect. What’s better than killing two birds with one stone, right? I loved the holiday feel of this book; we get Hanukkah and Christmas all in one story. The characters were also warm and delightful to read. Isaac and Giada both had their own emotional baggage to carry, but I was happy to see them open up to one another instead of pushing each other away which can get tiresome in some romance novels. There were sweet moments that made me smile and moments where I needed to get a fan out due to those steamy love scenes. For example, that scene with Isaac and Giada doing the nasty on his motorcycle was jaw-dropping and most definitely hot. A.S. Fenichel can sure write some smokin’ hot love scenes ;) There were equal amounts of sweet and sexy in this story which I loved. While I did enjoy this sweet holiday read overall, there were a few minor issues I had with Revving Up the Holidays. While it was evident that there was chemistry between Isaac and Giada, the chemistry didn’t really sizzle in my opinion. The chemistry was there, yes, but I just couldn’t really feel it. (Does that make sense?) Nonetheless, I was still invested in Isaac and Giada’s relationship and was happy for them. The other issue that I had was that the story seemed to move a little fast or in other words it seemed a bit rushed. In the end, Revving Up the Holidays was a sweet and feel-good holiday story with a heavy dose of sexy that left me with a smile at the end. After getting a bite size sample of author A.S. Fenichel’s writing, it’s safe to say that I’ll be back for more. *Disclaimer: I received a review copy from the publisher, Ellora’s Cave, in exchange for an honest review.
Revving Up the Holidays is the first book I have had the chance to read by A.S. Fenichel. I found it to be a hot steamy story with some really nice family scenes. I love holiday stories and this book takes place during the Hanukkah and Christmas holiday season. So I knew right away I was really going to enjoy this story. Isaac has trouble dealing with some major trauma from his past, so he has thrown himself into his work. When his boss and best friend tells him it's time for a vacation he goes home for the holidays. Giada has recently lost both of her parents so she spends a lot of the holidays with her best friend's family. When Isaac arrives at his sisters house he and Giada meet up again. Both had a crush on each other in high school but neither acted on their attraction. These two are a instantly a flammable pair with plenty of steamy scenes for us readers to enjoy. I really enjoyed the family Hanukkah traditions that are a nice part of the story line. There also are getting ready for the Christmas at Giada's home. Both holidays are celebrated together with the family. I always enjoy stories where the family is involved in the story line. I found A.S. Fenichel to have a nice writing style that made for an enjoyable read. I know I would enjoy reading more of her work. I don't want to tell you too much about the story but I really liked the ending. Revving Up the Holidays was a nice steamy story with a great feel good ending. If you are looking for short hot story during the holidays ,I think you will enjoy this one. I was given the opportunity to read this book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thought with you on Revving Up the Holidays.
Revving Up The Holidays is a steamy erotic holiday romance novella that will easily get the reader into the holiday spirit. Author A.S. Fenichel weaves an enjoyable tale set in Atlanta that follows the kindling of desire between Isaac Backman and Giada Leone when they reconnect over the Hanukkah and Christmas holiday season. Isaac Backman is a workaholic who hasn't had a vacation or been back in his hometown since his father's funeral two years ago. A forced vacation has Isaac heading home to Atlanta for Hanukkah. Giada "Gigi" Leone moved back home to Atlanta to take care of her sick parents, but since their deaths she is all alone and has lost the Christmas spirit. When Gigi reconnects with Isaac, her best friend's older brother and teenage crush, an attraction develops with a sizzling desire that will help them overcome their emotional baggage and put the holiday spirit back into their hearts, and maybe even something more! I really enjoyed reading this quick little holiday novella, it had the right amount of sweet and steamy that I look for in erotic romance stories. I liked that the author cleverly interwove both Hanukkah and Christmas holidays into the story, especially since it provided the reader with a glimpse into both holiday traditions. You can't hep but feel for Isaac and Gina as they both dealt with their emotional baggage. Their reconnecting develops into an attraction that is palpable with a sizzling chemistry and level of desire that was simply smoking hot! I loved their witty banter and the sweet touching moments that they shared, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I love a man who rides a motorcycle ... hot, hot, hot! Revving Up The Holidays is an enjoyable holiday erotic romance that will certainly rev up your holiday spirits!
