YO, WHAT UP? That's right, I grew up here. And the following photos show the New York that I Know, not the New York that now is. Shit has changed. New York is like a big theme park now, but when I was coming up. There was a whole different vibe. Times Square was simply the Deuce, subway trains were canvasses for graffiti writers, you could smoke doobies in all public parks, and there just weren't so many cornballs around. Shit was just cooler, straight up. But now, New York football teams paling in New Jersey?!?!?! I rest my case. I took these photos mainly on the hang-out tip from when I was working as a bike-mess. Or busboying in the clubs. I just liked documenting my travels around town, back when shit was authentic.
