Susan’s writing transports one to the high desert and effuses one with a sense of its beauty and majesty. The story is fresh and fun and nicely woven with interesting bits about Navaho and Hopi art and culture. The emotions are real without being overpowering and the romance sweet with enough sizzle to keep the pace going.

More people should write romance stories without always putting in nasty unnecessary descriptions. Great Story.

I like these people. They are believable, not necessarily predictable, but feel good. This is easy, feel good reading, with nice places and people, and a little education slipped in for depth and interesting.

I really enjoyed Meg and Jim's story. The history between these two, their heartfelt emotions, and the growing sexual tention was well done. The only problem I have is that I really expected a litlle more than a hug and a kiss between these two, especially at what I felt was the abrupt ending. I understand this is a modest/clean story, but there are ways to dance around the details and still get the message of their love for each other across. This 341 page book needed at least one more chapter to wrap it up before we go into the next book of the series with Kurt as the main character. Even though I felt I needed more at the end, I did not want to take away a star from this sweet and touching story which may deter a reader from wanting to read it.

A lot of beautifully painted thought pictures. And a good clean book.

This romance was about forty pages of prelude and study questions at the end. There was about 240 pages of story. A tween or teen could read this, it is such a clean story, but I do not think it would hold the tween's interest. I enjoyed reading about the Hopi snake dance and plan to do some research about the dance. I found this fascinating. This story seemed to repeat the same actions over and over again. The hero and heroine were both wallflowers in high school, star crossed could be girlfriend, boyfriend. As adults they were incredibly gorgeous, with dream jobs, educated, and oh, so perfect, they irritated me to no end. This book took place ten years after high school, yet they were letting a single incident in high school haunt and shape their adult lives. If they had such an excellant friendship then, it seems as they would have discussed what happened. This book was predictable. Several words were left out, which changed the meaning of a few sentences. The story was well written, all plots were concluded and northern Az is just as beautiful, if not more so then described. AD

Sweet, wonderful, romantic book. Susan Aylworth combined lovable, believable characters with realistic issues that added tension to the story. I loved the conflict within Meg, how her fierce independence and lack of family ties kept her from seeing the things in life she truly wanted, and how she grew to understand that it's the simple things that feed the heart and not the goals that she had always sought. This an inspirational romance, a human story, and I enjoyed it very much

This was an interesting story about a woman discovering confidence in herself and her choices. A look at small town life and ancient cultures. An unusual romance, I enjoyed it very much. I am going to read the rest of the series.
