I am an avid reader of historical romance books and have found that this is the most facinating book I have read in quite a while. The story was so good, it took me just a couple of days to read it. The story itself about breaks my heart because many of the things that happened in it was true to the details I found on the web about Cynthia Ann Parker. Thank you for the most wonderful book I have read in some time.
The hero, Reese Starrett, is the most wonderfully sensual man that has been written into a story, and yet, he has a very strong personality that has you dreaming about him. He rushes to save his best friend's financee from kidnappers and falls madly in love with her. Saber Vincente absolutely turns Reese upside down-you, as a reader, can't help but laugh in places and cry in others. It's a wonderful book!! I hardily recommend it. Constance O'Banyon is truly a gifted writer. She is the one that makes me feel as if I am right at the scene with her characters-I feel what they feel-Ms. O'Banyon makes me feel connected to her make-believe families. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
How does a spoiled, spirited rich girl, who could have any man in Texas, make a poor, but heroic, rancher believe that he is the man of her dreams? Read Ride The Wind, and find out for yourself. I am from Fort Worth, Texas, the area where this book is set, and Ms. O'Banyon knows what she is talking about. She portrays the history, the scenery, and the people of this area with a vividness and reality that make this book a great read.
I am an avid fan of Ms. O'Banyon's. RIDE THE WIND is another winner. I have bought several copies of Ride The Wind for Christmas gifts because so many women in my family are as much a fan of hers as I am. I can hardly wait for her next book. Ride The Wind is compelling and so romantic. I loved it!!!
