Overview

Carter Clark

I had it all figured out: a gorgeous girlfriend, a baby on the way, and a firefighter career I always dreamed of. Life was perfect… until piece by piece, it all fell apart, and I lost my will to live.

Molly Fowler, my best friend from grade school, had saved my life countless times. She helped me heal, physically and emotionally. At my side when I needed her, she guided me to be a better man, while she herself was hurting.

But I was too blind to see what was right in front of me. I was too blind to see that we needed each other. I was too blind to see how deeply she was scarred.

Molly Fowler

Life is peachy, isn’t it? Well, maybe to those outside looking in. But not for me. I’d wanted to leave Hope Bay since the moment I understood that my family dynamics were… unique.

I left as soon as I could, but an unknown force kept pulling me back to Hope Bay. A force that would save countless lives. A force by the name of Carter Clark.

But I was too blind to see what was right in front of me. I was too weak to trust in his friendship. Above all, I was too blind to see the danger still waiting for me from a man I’d never thought I’d see again.

Note: Right in Front of You is a standalone novel that follows Carter and Molly’s story from Yours and Mine. Contains spoilers to Yours and Mine. Intended for mature audience only.

Friends To Lovers series continues with another epic love story about best friends who must go through the fire to find what burns in their hearts. A truly impressive story about love, loss, and strength. The gang is back in this second installment about pain, growth, and real friendship. Carter, Molly, and the rest teach us what love is all about. This book being Carter & Molly's story. Molly has always wanted to be a doctor. Carter only wishes to be a fireman. When tragedy strikes, can the future still be clear? Sweet and sad tale of five friends and how life changes them as they grow. I loved that characters, the friendships, and the sexy. There is a solid mystery to solve as well. I was truly enchanted. ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Although it took almost until the end of the book, Carter and Molly finally got their HEA. Going from childhood friends to lovers, these two suffered in different ways, but Carter knew he would and could convert Molly to be his true love with just a bit of effort.

I honestly didn't know how or where to begin my review. My emotions were just all over the place throughout this entire book which follows a group of friends from early childhood throughout school, college and adulthood. Although you may recognize some friends, this is really Molly and Carter's story. It's about lifelong friendships that turn into relationships.... about how the darkest of secrets can be hidden from the closest of friends.... and how the truth, right in front you can indeed set you free. I spent the entire day reading this. I just couldn't put it down. The story line flows between a multitude of issues... it pulls on my heartstrings as I feel the pain of their losses and fears. I felt their joy and laughter as well as the individual struggles they faced. I have to call this one a must read. This copy was gifted to me in return for my honest review.

This book features Carter and Molly who have been friends for pretty much their entire life. While they have always been attracted to each other it never seemed like it was the right time for them to be together. Carter helped Molly through a rough childhood and Molly helped Carter through a rough young adulthood. They kept going their separate ways only to be drawn back together as if by fate. This book addresses some pretty heavy topics while showing us how people mature and grow through their pain. It will have you rooting for Carter and Molly to have their happily ever after.

I absolutely loved Right In Front of you by Lacey Silks. This is a fabulous friends to lovers romance that will put you on quite the emotional roller coaster, but it is worth every minute of it. We first meet Carter and Molly in Yours and Mine and my heart was broken for Carter before I even started this amazing book. Both Carter and Molly have been friends since they were children. They loved each other before they even knew what love was, but time and circumstances never brought them together as more than friends. Molly is so strong and determined but so broken from the unthinkable she has endured her entire life. Carter has been her strength until he had his own demons to fight. At this point Molly became his strength and saving grace. This book was a wonderful journey that showed that even through tragedy love can overcome all obstacles. I highly recommend this book!

Molly and Carter have been best friends forever. Molly truly captured Carter’s heart the first time she got him to play in the rain and jump in puddles. But Molly has secrets that she fears will change how Carter sees her so she builds walls to keep him as a best friend. Carter struggles with only having Molly as a best friend but she keeps pushing him into this zone so he pursues Daisy. When his world collapses, it’s his best friend Molly that saves him. As life moves them into adulthood, they remain friends and then Carter has an accident that puts, soon to be Doctor Molly, in a position to assist with his recovery. Is this the needed push they need to move out of the friend zone? Will Molly lower her walls and reveal her secrets to Carter? This story gave me the full drama, emotional roller coaster while showing me that love and goodness can prevail. Truly moving journey of growing up, facing your demons and finding your bliss.

Rain always doesn't make us depressed sometimes it makes us feel things inside .. happy things or places we want to go and be. When you are hiding tragic events that happen in our life sometimes your best friend will pick up that whether it happened years ago or still happening. Molly thought that if she got out of her hometown maybe she could stop what was happening. If she helped others like a nurse or a doctor helping people would also help her. But when her best friend Carter looses what he thought was the love of his life Molly actually brought him back to the living after a tragic accident. But we all know things happen for a reason and he feels and thinks this happened to bring him closer to his BEST FRIEND. Can Molly ever let Carter in or will she keep pushing him away even though she feels it too ! Will the walls around her heart keep breaking away for Carter ?? Will she finally see he is it for her too ??
