Overview

Riona by Linda Windsor

Riona, a gentlewoman of faith, discovers that her plan to help the disadvantaged includes not only the plague orphans in her charge, but the arrogant, handsome adventurer who feels honor-bound to save her and her lands by marrying her -- with or without her consent. Lord Kieran of Gleannmara depends on nothing and no one save his wit and skill with steel, but soon a deadly twist of fate forces him to acknowledge his need not only for the lady Riona and her worrisome entourage, but for her Lord as well.

The Fires of Glennmara series by Linda Windsor was terrific! Great character development, built into rich historical detail. You are quickly in another time and place! The romance and faith are strong in all three novels. Enough to make you blush and laugh, but not so much to make you nervous of your mom finding your book! Love them all.

This is a wonderful book! I read Maire, and didn't think the sequels could be as good as the love story of warrioress Maire and peacemaker Rowan ap Emrys, but I was wrong! despite the fact I haven't actually finished this, Riona and Kieran's story is delicious. My maithre has had to reprimand me because I'm reading when I'm supposed to be doing pretty much everything else!!
