I am totally in love with Riley and I’m so glad I got to read his story. This was an excellent second chance romance. I love seeing the other characters from Play and NSFW pop up and we get a glimpse of their lives.

4.5stars Another great story from Piper Lawson, this one about the second chance for Riley now successful Layer and Samantha, now uprising painter. They had both crushes on each other as a teenager but a promise to Samantha's father keeps Riley from acting on emotions. But after all this year's attraction between them is very much alive and this time it explodes. Just Riley has a big appetite and wants to succeed on so many different levels and that almost cost him his best friend, a job that he loves and the love of his life. It was interesting to read a males POV but in this story, it works. I loved reading every page and enjoyed every minute of it. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Author Piper Lowson

Oh Riley and Sam - I loved their story! I was so happy Piper gave us Riley’s story. He had small parts in PLAY and NSFW and I couldn't wait for more. This is a standalone but the other books are so good, they should not be missed! Rise is a second chance for love. Sam is the one that got away. Ten years have pasted and then they meet again. Their story is full of emotions, some laughter, history, chemistry and beautiful sexy times that I just couldn’t get enough of.

RISE by Piper Lawson is a standalone with crossover from her NSFW and PLAY characters. I’d highly recommend reading them all. I’ve been dying to get my hands on Riley’s story, and it didn’t disappoint. Riley is a lawyer and contributor to his best friend’s gaming company. But something’s been missing, and when his past friend comes back into his life, Riley is pretty sure he knows what it is. Rileys’ always felt like a larger than life character to me, and it was great getting into his head. He has a happy-go-lucky outlook, but things aren’t going smoothly with his company. Especially when a new opportunity comes about, and Riley is stretched thin. Samantha used to go to school with Riley, and they had a big falling out. They meet again at an art gallery, and the chemistry just keeps on crackling. But they have a lot to work through to make that happen. I really enjoyed these two, although I do wish Samantha had gotten her own POV. It’s told exclusively from Riley’s side. It was great seeing past characters too! If you’re looking for a heart touching novel chalk full of humor and hope then you’ll love this! 4 stars!

Riley surprised me in this story. He presents the cocky, successful lawyer vibe but when we finally got to dig deeper into his world, we learned that he had his heart broken which has caused him to hold back. As teenagers, Sam was the new girl at school and Riley was fascinated by her attitude and personality. They were best friends but some road blocks were put in their way which lead to heartbreak. Years later, they run into each other at a gallery where Sam is showing her artwork. For Riley, the old feelings are still there so how does he get Sam back into his life. This is a fabulous second chance romance for both of these characters. There is hurt and pain that has to be overcome. Add in the challenges Riley faces at Titan, the company he and Max own, which forces him to reevaluate what he really wants to do with his life versus what he thinks he should be doing.

Rise takes off the blinders of love. No longer is romance a woman's world. It's an equal opportunity heartache. The history of Riley and Sam is emotional, fun loving and frustrating. Lawson lays it all on the line. From the angstful misunderstandings to the surprise second chance, Rise is meant to be UNFORGETTABLE, and it lives up to the hype.
