Love this series. Read the first one and immediately had to get the last 2 in the series. This is from Dani's point of view but it takes off right where the first book left off. It ends on a cliff hanger though so if you finish it you will immediately have to get the other! Good reads!

I came across Kathleen Brooks first book in this series through a free Nook offering and it sparked my interest. After enjoying the storyline and falling in love with all the characters in the first book I was thrilled to find out that this series includes four books with more to come in the Bluegrass series. I've now read all four offerings in this series and can't wait for Kathleen Brooks next one.

I loved this book, and loved the first one as well but the ending leaves you hanging to the point you need the next book ASAP. Hopefully something is coming soon!!

Read these books in order, they will make a lot more sense. Each book begins where the previous one left off. The whole series is wonderful, exciting, and well worth your time!

If you love hot romance with a hint of mystery and intrigue then do not pass up on this series by Kathleen Brooks.... This is Book 2, Book 1 is Risky Shot, Dead Heat (3) and I am now reading Bluegrass Undercover (4)... WOW! These are great books that will keep you up at night! Set in the Kentucky Bluegrass and involving some of the sexiest characters EVER... We have FBI, a Sheik and Special Forces Brothers... Humor mixed with murder??? It works for Ms. Brooks... Hope there are more books to come..

Other than some inexpeience to the writing, I loved everything about the people of Keeneston they are all awesome. Both the romance and the suspense elements held my attention as well as the hot guys and the wonderful friendships. I think I liked this one even better than the first.

I really liked this book. It was the perfect fit after the first book. I could hardly stand the ending! I can't wait to pick up the next book. Author's web site says the book will be out this fall - it can't be soon enough!

I really enjoyed Bluegrass State of Mind where we met McKenna and Will. McKenna saw her boyfriend and a bunch of high ranking politicians in a bit of a precarious situation and went on the run when they tried to silence her. Before hitting the road, she told her friend everything that happened. That friend being Dani, stayed behind to try to get as much dirt and information as she could before she met up with McKenna. Risky Shot is Dani’s story and if I’m being completely honest, it was a big let down. The story jumped ahead and didn’t really give you any sense of depth. Dani’s love interest is Mo, someone we sort of meet in the previous book. However, he might as well have still been a secondary character in this novel. They go out on one date and all of a sudden they are in love, and she’s just waltzing into his house like she lives there. Their relationship progressed way too fast and it came out of nowhere. Not only did I have a problem with the pacing of their relationship, but the story itself would jump ahead from one situation to the next within the same chapter, with little warning. Time seemed to speed by, and it left no time for me to get any grasp on the characters. There are a bunch of errors in the book. There was even a part in the book where Dani’s parents are just hanging out in Mo’s house, without him even knowing. Dani and Mo show up to his house, get inside the front door, start making out, and all of a sudden Dani’s father is yelling at Mo for molesting his daughter. I am so confused as to why her parent’s were just hanging out in his house. He had never met them before, they had no idea who he was, and the whole thing just seemed misplaced. I kept thinking maybe I misread something and they were really at the B&B or something but after a few times reading the scene, I realized her parents were just randomly creeping around in her boyfriend’s house when they didn’t even know who he was. This could have been a really great addition to the series but it’s random pacing and errors left me wanting to put it down more times than not. I didn’t connect with the characters, I didn’t like or understand their romance, and I just felt like the book never told Dani’s story. This ends on a rather big cliffhanger but even that can’t push me to read the next book in the series.

I thought for the most part it was excellent reading, but I felt some of the characters were not written as well as maybe the author intended them to be, such as Agent Parker came across as somewhat incompetent.

Good series, it kept me laughing and hooked all the way through.

The characters are interesting, but since there was under 200 pages I was disappointed, and apparently purchasing the third book will be required to find out the ending.

Really liked this Romantic Suspense book. I had read #1 in the Bluegrass Series and really enjoyed it so got this one. Characters were great and well developed. I really liked Dani and Kenna and Paige and the Rose sisters. Actually everyone (except the bad guys of course.) It left you hanging at the end but I am okay with that - just have to read to next book, Dead Heat. I highly recommend this series.

The second in the Bluegrass Series, really more of a serial. Although this story can stand on its own, I highly recommend reading Bluegrass State of Mind first. This story does end in a wicked cliff hanger. Dani is now joining Kenna in Keeneston, KY and the threat is increasing. As the whole town comes together to keep thr two women safe, there is fun, laughter & not a little romance in the air to make it interesting.

Wow...just wow!!! There are not many books that can have you laughing out loud one minute and then gasping in shock the next but this one succeeds! I read the first in this series a while ago and just got back to it, not sure what took me so long now but what an amazing second book in the series. I loved the first one and the second one tops that. The only drawback to it is that it leaves us with a cliffhanger which I usually despise but since the last book is out I'm not too terribly upset. These characters are wonderful, all of them, even the periphery characters are so well developed that you really understand them. I can't wait to get started on the next one!
