This is one of my 'comfort reading' books - Jilly Cooper is always very amusing, and I like the broadly drawn characters - some of them approach characature. Taggie woudl have to be one of my all time favourite Cooper characters and I get hungry just reading the book. RCB actually comes across as a nice person (which he didn't in Riders) and you can finally understand why he is such a popular person. You get totally hooked in through the massive fight for the franchise, and it makes some interesting comments on TV audiences in general, TV presenters and the issues around managing a broadcaster.
