Born in an environment where a given faith to believe and worship in becomes life-threatening. Samaila's father is a Muslim and his mother a Christian. And when sectarian crisis is witnessed in Tikama, the fourteen-year-old finds himself switching between the two faiths just to be on the safe side, then he is abducted to wreak havoc in River Jamitha.

In 'Iska: Asabe!' Asabe is obsessed with some group of Christian Corps members serving their fatherland in Kofar, a Muslim community. She takes the risk to rescue the Corps members when they become a target of post election crisis.

He lives in the slum and hawks along the busy roads of Lagos. Ade and his neighbour's son, Sawa-a twelve-year-old are eking out a living when the latter is held by the mob on a trumped-up charge, that the former can not rescue him from the gruesome mob.

In his quest to attain Western education Ndu is enticed into selling illicit drug in the streets of Kano by his former school teacher, T.N.
Makan, A.K.A. Sarko. But when Ndu's colleague, Pali is arrested, Ndu and Sarko escape to Bamako, Mali on their way to Europe through the death-trap Sahara desert. Do they make it?

About the Author

Chinedu Caleb, Nigerian short story writer and poet is a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He was born in Zaria, Kaduna State. He is an indigene of Obizi in Imo State. He has taught in schools and worked in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Katsina under the National Youth Service Corps scheme. His passion for the use of words for art is seen in his various works.
