"[The Author's] debut novel marries all the right elements for an A+ end-of-the-world plot. There is suspense, flawed characters, mystery, and action. And while she uses the right formula, "Rivers, Weak Men, and Wolves" still brings a fresh narrative that is worth checking out...."

"...[The Author] is not afraid to trample tropes and dodge pitfalls in favor of good suspense and fascinating characters. Her narrative style is forthright and daring, and sometimes she breaks the literary rules we've all come to expect. But she does it with prowess and purpose, and it makes for a great ride.
This book might not be for everyone. Self-proclaimed critics with a bad attitude may give up after a few chapters, bemoaning that the book doesn't play by the old rules. I find that to be its strength. This isn't "The Stand"; it isn't "The Walking Dead." "Rivers, Weak Men and Wolves" is its own style of fiction, and I personally can't wait to see what Letendre will conjure next."

"This was probably the best apocalyptic novel I've read in several years. It is nothing like the other stories in the genre, in the best way possible...
...This novel was truly wonderful and I didn't see any of the plot reveals coming. I guessed at some of them near the end, but second guessed myself. I would absolutely read this again and I'll be buying a hard copy as well to display in my personal library. I gave it 4 stars because I wanted a bit more to the ending and Jorah's story but otherwise, it was excellent... "
