Road-Tripped (Ad Agency Series, #1) by Nicole Archer

What's worse than losing everything? Try driving a phallic-shaped RV across the country with a coworker you hate.

Copywriter Callie Murphy has a bad attitude, a vicious tongue, and a serious aversion to Shimura Advertising's resident manwhore, Walker Rhodes. Know where he can stick his good looks and Southern charm? She can think of a few creative places. Avoiding him wouldn't be a problem, except her boss threatens to fire her if she doesn't go along with him on their RV client's cross-country tour.

Walker is sick of his job, tired of women, and in a big old creative rut. The upcoming client road trip is just what he needs to shake things up and rediscover his lost passion. But his plans go south when his partner drops out at the last minute, and Callie, the foul-mouthed tiny terror, takes her place. Unless he can find a way to thaw his icy coworker, he's looking at two months of pure hell.

On the road, they experience one hilarious misadventure after another and soon find themselves on a life-changing journey. But when their paths veer off in different directions, will they hit a dead end?

What an exciting ride! Road-Tripped: A Romantic Comedy (Ad Agency Series) (Volume 1) by Nicole Archer is what my perfect combination of a story. Callie is not a friendly person. She has a smart mouth and walls built so high you can’t scale them. Her biggest issue though is Walker Rhodes the ad agencies’ resident player. When they are put in charge of an advertising campaign that would lead them on a cross-country road trip that leads to hilarity, sadness, and romance. Walker is not the man that Callie thinks she is, but can he prove that. He is bound and determined to put a smile on her face and a light back into her eye. I love this book so much. I felt like I was on the same trip as they were. From the Liberty Bell to the Las Vegas strip this book will leave you laughing and then crying in the same breath. The characters were written so well that I felt like I knew them. Even the secondary characters played a part in making this story great. This story is an emotional roller coaster at its best. From the first page to the last, I hung on to every word and every feeling. I could read this book over and over again. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in this series.

Road-Tripped was a great 5 star read. This is Callie and Walker’s story and I loved it. Callie isn’t happy with her job at the moment. Her friend Skip is her boss and he doesn’t take things seriously. She is also really annoyed with her co-worker Walker, although deep down she may have some feelings for him. Walker loathes his job but a great opportunity comes up and he is excited to take it. He will be traveling cross country for a couple of months. When his original road trip partner is unable to go, Callie finds herself in the hot seat. Knowing that Callie hates him he isn’t really looking forward to the trip. Will these two make it to the end without killing each other? How do you get that enormous head of yours through the door? He wiggled his brows. “That’s what she said.” I had several LOL moments and some emotional ones as well. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Callie was my favorite of the two, she had no filter when it came to expressing her thoughts. Walker is a charmer that will make your heart flutter. Make sure you have time because once you start you will want to finish in one sitting. This was a great read that I had fun reading. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Road-Tripped (Ad Agency #1) by Nicole Archer - insert fan girl scream- My, my, my what a fan-freaking-tastic read! I have no words, none! That is how freaking outstanding this masterpiece is! This is going to be a gush review so hold on tight. Chemistry, so much chemistry from our two MC's, I mean you could feel it radiating out of the pages. I think it rose the temperature of my kindle. Everything was done right, the interactions, the witty banter the steamy connection. Everything, I felt like I was reading a real love story. Nothing felt forced or underdeveloped, these two where made for one another, and I loved every minute of it. Moving away from my new favourite couple of the year. The actually writing was spot on, smooth, easy to follow and engaging. From the first few words I actually said out loud, "This is going to be good".... god I love it when I'm right. The only thing left I have to say is, I highly recommend that you BUT THIS BOOK! READ IT!! It will change the way you read anything going forward. Happy Reading -E.A. Walsh

) Read My rating: 1 of 5 stars2 of 5 stars3 of 5 stars4 of 5 stars[ 5 of 5 stars ] Callie and Walker, with a touch of Leonard Nimoy are pure magic!! I adored this couple!! What a great ride! This whole book was a fantastic road trip, a journey cross country with two amazing people who both fell in love with each other, and I fell in love with! Puppy rescues, hurricanes, heatwaves, nude beaches, banana splits, roller coasters, crazy grandmas and through it all we watch the walls crumble, brick by brick...we see through Walker's eyes and heart, and through Callie's words and heart how these two former enemies end up as so much, much more than lovers...talk about happily ever after!! ??? Only one tiny little problem....they both owe Grandma Josephine forty bucks....ohh how I love that woman!!! Even if she does have some serious explaining to do!!! I LOVE this book!! I want more!! Cannot wait to read about Callie's twin Effie!!

This was a non-stop funny read. Even when you are ready to cry Author Nicole Archer snaps us back with a funny line that makes you laugh out loud again. "His grandmother smiled, closed her eyes, and said her last words. “You owe me forty dollars.” Loved it!!!

There's a slight difference between thinking someone is a manwhore and knowing someone is. But thinking sometimes leads to believing which leads to negative feelings which leads to nothing good really. Callie's perception of Walker was just that. Thing is, Walker wasn't that at all. Oh, sure, the women love him and flock to him in droves (sounds like a fairytale, lol) but he wasn't the kind of man to randomly pick a woman simply because he knew she was available. But Callie didn't know that. She might have if she'd seen the ending of that one event when her perception of him was born. Giving him the chance to explain was like... I don't know, exactly, but it was super frustrating to read. Walker's just tired of his four-wall job. His passion is photography so being indoors isn't his cup of tea. So a road trip that takes him outside for a while? He's all for that! Until he finds out he's stuck with Callie. Yes, Callie. Who's pissed off at the world because of a bad break up and who doesn't want to be around him to begin with. Did I mention she kinda, sorta, maybe takes all of that anger out on Walker? *cringes* She does. It wasn't pretty, I'll admit that, but man! I couldn't help but laugh at the stuff coming out of her mouth! The road trip, as bad as it started out, ended up being the perfect thing for both of them. Walker got in touch with his creative half, Callie got over the hurt of being dumped and finally came to see Walker as not a manwhore. For a debut, this is very well written. Ms. Archer has a wicked sense of humor and it shows beautifully in this story. Her use of made-up words and left-field phrases reminded me of my husband, who likes to do that crap to make me laugh (or at least smile) when I'm pissed off as hell. Thank you, Ms. Archer, for writing something I can relate to! It isn't just the narrative or dialogue that will keep you interested. It's everything. Ms. Archer describes everything so vividly it's like you're there with Walker and Callie, seeing what they're seeing, feeling what they're feeling, experiencing what they're experiencing. This is a great book. You'll laugh, frown, roll your eyes, and laugh some more.

Nicole Archer’s Road-Tripped is definitely not your mom’s romance novel. I enjoyed every witty one-liner and blush inducing moment. Her book was the perfect summer read for those of us that don’t have the luxury of going on an all-expenses paid trip with the hot office guy. Oh, and the chapter soundtracks were pretty genius too.

It's not often that you find such excellent writing in the romance genre. This book was both beautifully written and funny. The way the author describes scenes is lovely — you can imagine yourself there. The lead male character, Walker, is a photographer, and when she describes the images he is setting up, you can visualize how they would look. As the characters travel across the U.S., they visit interesting places that make you want to go on vacation while you're reading it... funny to feel a bit jealous of fictional characters! The dialogue is highly entertaining; I laughed out loud many times. This is a very entertaining book, and it's not your typical empty, shallow "beach read" romance. This is a smart book, for intelligent people, that just happens to be in the romance genre. I look forward to reading the next one by Ms. Archer. Highly recommend! *****Received an advanced copy from the publisher for an honest review****

I've read a few romance novels before, but I've never been impressed with the quality of the writing, the depth of the characters, or the originality of the plot. Girl meets boy and romance ensues, with clunky sentences and predictable plot lines. I read Road-Tripped as a favor, and let's just say my expectations were not high. Nicole Archer blew past my expectations in every way. My guess is that she chose this genre because she enjoys it, but she could write anything. Her characters are fully fleshed out, her writing is superb, and the story was fun and unpredictable. And to top it all off, she curated a playlist that sets the mood for each part of the story. Genius! If you don't like dirty words or naughty situations, don't read this book. But If you enjoy good writing with a heavy dose of spice and fun, don't miss Road-Tripped! Personally, I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Nicole Archer has created an enjoyable, vivid, raw, but also oddly heartwarming story about being saved by love. "Road-Tripped" sucks you in at the start with jaded, but entertaining characters who are a living description of all that is wrong with the big city life. The well-developed, three-dimensional characters grab you and hold you, as if you are able to see and hear what they are experiencing. They are edgy, crass, rude and wounded, but are so real, you can't help but identify and connect with them. As Bluebell and The Office Jiggalo set out across the country to do a job they both dread, they find themselves exposed, vulnerable and overly protective of their own hearts and boundaries. But as they each start to let their guard down, the insults and profane language towards each other transitions into real, messy emotions that create passion and intense desire. You, as the reader, find yourself understanding how each of these two feel, and yearning to learn more about their journey, just hoping to be able to experience that same love in your own life. "Road-Tripped" took me on an emotional trip that I loved, from laughs to cringes to heated breath, this book grabbed me and held me to the end. Bravo.

Reviewed by Heather Osborne for Readers' Favorite Road-Tripped, the first book in the Ad Agency Series by Nicole Archer, is a contemporary romance surrounding the 'crash and burn' life of Callie Murphy. Having just gotten out of a terrible relationship, Callie finds herself working for her friend, Skip, at his ad agency in New York. Just when she thinks her life cannot get any worse, Skip assigns her to go on a cross-country road trip with her co-worker, Walker Rhodes, for a client. Callie has many preconceived notions about Walker, namely that she thinks he’s slept his way through every one of her female co-workers. However, Walker is not all he appears to be. Will being crammed together in an RV change Callie’s mind, or will she find her predictions hold truth? Rarely do I find a contemporary romance that holds my attention, makes me laugh, and has me rooting for both heroine and hero. Road-Tripped did all three. Callie and Walker both had believable flaws, difficult pasts, and an undying passion for their respective arts. It broke my heart that both gave up their true calling to settle for jobs in an advertising agency. Even though their relationship is what I would call whirlwind, I could see how it might happen in a realistic sense. I also found Callie’s quirks endearing, as well as both characters’ silly romantic gestures. Miss Archer has a clever style of writing that allows a reader to really be drawn into the story. Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer is not to be missed, and I eagerly look forward to the next book in the series!
