A well written teaser that highlights the Summer's Day Festival and some characters from the AMAZING Wardstone Trilogy!

A great SHORT story about Loudin from the main series.

Include "The Blood of Coldfrost, another Wardstone short story. It is clear that these free short stories are intended to be teasers to The Wardstone Trilogy. I'm not sure it is possible to tease up a 2,000 page trilogy with a pair of short stories, but these are still fun reads. Make no mistake, The Wardstone Trilogy is massive and fantastic while these are just entertaining. Reading these has very little to do with the novel, either. Loudin is an interesting character, but again, these stories are shorter than a single chapter of one of the trilogy books. I guess I am saying, don't judge the trilogy by these. Read the sample of The Sword and the Dragon, if you want a real taste of Wardstone, but be warned. Once you start you won't stop, and when you are done, you will find yourself missing the unparalleled world the author created.

Didn't intrigue me nearly as much as the main stories.
