About the Author

Deckle McLean began writing mystery novels in his sixties. As a journalist earlier in his life, he published ten years‘ worth of magazine and newspaper pieces. Then he taught journalism to university students for over thirty years, directed a journalism program, and published many academic journal articles and a few books all related to communications law. Popular fiction is a change for him, yet at the same time it is a continuation of a career in writing begun long ago. He spent his early years and completed his schooling in the Northeast: New Jersey and Massachusetts. He lives in downstate Illinois.
