Overview

Stella Gunn is the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Blue Moon Gypsies, and Stella used to be Mace's girl. But Kai "Mace" Mason broke up with her and the loss of him rocked her world. One night, Stella gets a call, late (again), from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot.
Mace finds he doesn't like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot right in front of him, but it's worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet, and all the Rock Chicks are in the firing line. Stella doesn't want Mace to be the one to keep her alive, but she has no choice. Mainly because Mace isn't giving her one.

Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

I was waiting for Mace story to come, i was really curious what had happened to his sister. This book was like shock to me, i cried a lot, thru whole book. This was the most dramatic one. I am not fan of dramma, that is why i don't read dramma books, because i become emotionaly attacted to the person and i just fell them and then i cry a lot. So it was hard for me to read all the details so i admit i skiped some pages. It is still really good story, how Mace and Stella finde their love, and i really like how KS involve other Rock Chicks, so we can se update on them too. I am rally curios who is up next.

At this point in the series I am convinced Kristen Ashley is a puppet master. She has tied strings to my heart and just plays them as she wishes. You laugh, you cry (or at least I do, a lot). This series ends up having it all. I am sad to see I only have 2 more books to go and then whatever will I do?

Amazing. Seriously! Amazeballs! Loved it! Freaking fantastic story. It had everything I've come to love from KA and in the Rock Chic series. Excellent, detailed story with great characters, a bit of funny with some sexy throw in, a lot of emotion and drama. I thought this story in particular was super intense. The other books have been pretty intense as well but between Mace and Stella's complicated relationship, Mace’s past, and all the drama happening, this was off the charts! Mace and Stella, these two are something else. That push and pull that people have when you can see their chemistry, they had it. That first 25% was killer because there was so much tension and so much happening right away, it was a wild ride. When all the little details start to unfold, I swear I was holding my breath, completely pulled in. Love Stella, her dog, and her band. I think Stella is an awesome addition to the Rock Chick bunch. Mace was pretty amazing. I do wish there would have been more from his POV but when there was, it blew me away. His story, the details of his past, it was heartbreaking so to witness and I felt his healing throughout the book. I was a wonderful thing. Loved all the different POV's that were included. I love how the women and men are always so there for one another. They are this true family from their bickering to their comradely and caring. It is just so great! Seriously awesome read with an excellent build and pace. Fantastic addition to the series. The epilogue blew me away. LOVED all those details and seeing where everyone was at and updated on families and all that good stuff. I swear I feel like I know these people and they're fictional characters. Love this series so much!

Its so hard to say but this might be my fav of the rock chicks. They are all amazing though and ive reread the series about 20 times, no joke. If youve just come across this book start at the beginning, Rock Chick....you wont regret it!!

I enjoyed this installment in the Rock Chick series. Stella and Mace made good main characters, and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. The storyline was good, and the book was fast paced and had plenty of action. All of the references to music and to particular songs added a great deal to the atmosphere of the book. Stella Gunn misses so much about Kai "Mace" Mason, who broke up with her a year ago after dating for several months. Even so, she isn't ready to put her heart on the line for him again when he comes back into her life. While she'd much rather avoid him, it appears that her life is in danger due to her past connections with him, and he is determined to keep her safe.  I loved seeing all of the Rock Chicks/Hot Bunch Boys in this one. Stella and Mace were a good couple, although Stella's reluctance to be with Mace was annoying at times. Overall, I really liked both of them and enjoyed the story. I'm one of those readers who doesn't normally even look at a synopsis to see who the next book is about before I start it, so I was very disappointed that the epilogue gave away not only who the couples are in the next two books, but also how many children those couples to come have 5 years after the end of Rock Chick Reckoning, their genders, and even names. That was neat for the couples whose stories we've already read, but not good at all for the books left to come in the series! I've never read an epilogue before this that spoiled the next two books! This absolutely affected my feelings about and rating of the book.

I love all KA books but just one time I want one of these girls to put up an actual fight. They are too easily maneuvered by sex and kisses and none of them stick to their guns for more than half a second.

All of Kristen Ashley's books are just terrific! The whole Rock Chick Series, the Mystery Man series, the Carnal Series, the Chaos series. I've read them all and give them all my very best thumb's up. I couldn't put them down and can't wait for her next book.
