One of the true classics of American literature, Peter Newell's "The Rocket Book," has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over four generations. Originally published in 1912 by Harper & Brothers, New York, it was the first children's book of its kind, a book about a rocket's incredible journey, floor by floor, through a 21-floor New York apartment. This lavishly produced facsimile of the rare first edition of the Rocket Book by JANES Works Company contains all 22 of Peter Newell's original watercolors and the colorful pictorial binding that make the 100th Anniversary Edition of The Rocket Book so special and enduring.

My grandmother had this book when I was growing up it was one of our favorites growing up. Sadly that version was lost or maybe it just fell apart because me and my sibling as well as cousins all loved it. I am glad it is still in print so I get to share it with my kids. This 100th edition also has some new pictures in it of each floor before the rocket hits which my kids love. Highly recommend this version!! It's kid approved :)
