This is not a standalone!~~~~This book not only gives you a different perspective then Chasing Lucy & Craving Lucy, but it is also Kin's story. As you know, Kin is Lucy's best friend and you get to find out more about how she & Lucy became such good friends, you get to understand why her mother made her promise to go live with her father and get to know him, and you also get her & Jace's backstory. While Kin is stuck at her father's house carrying out her mother's wishes she is having to deal with her "evil" stepmother & stepsisters which only continue to make her life miserable. So, while you get to get a much better view of Kin & Jace's second chance relationship, this book also deals with some serious issues. I think that alone makes this book such a great story.

The novella of Kin and Jace is mild in the emotionally engaging, however it is still a great read. It follows along the path the fans have been on with Browning's Rocker Series. Kin and Jace's story provides insight to continuing story of Lucy and Harris. It is in their POV that the reader is given that gut renching awesome read. Do not get me wrong, the author is still telling a great story. This is why I say its another grand slam. If you have not read the Rocker Series by Browning, I suggest getting her compilation e-reader of all the past books and look for the Lucy series. All are worth every penny.

Normally I find it quite easy to write a review. Words just flow based on the story I've absorbed into my overly stuffed brain. But as I sit staring at the screen, I find it challenging to come up with the right words for Rocking Kin. Please do not misunderstand me it is not that they're not there, it's just the level of emotion that our lovely author has evoked has left me . . . well, speechless. Rocking Kin was a brilliantly written piece of literature of epic proportions designed to bring a reader to their knees with the level of emotion Browning injects at each turn. A she did just that. Rocking Kin will ensnare you not letting you go from the moment your eyes touch the page. This story is all about Kin and Jace. A couple who knew each other in Virginia and through unforeseen circumstances ended up going their separate ways. In other words he left and she was broken hearted. Fast forward to them both being in the same location now and Kin is uncomfortable in her new surroundings. Her heart is breaking with the reality of how much her life has changed in such a short period of time. The only bright spot she has is Lucy Thornton. The daughter of Layla and Jessie Thornton the drummer for Demon's Wings. I love the connection between Lu and Kin. These two just make you smile from the very beginning. No matter what the circumstances. Browning does a fantastic job tugging your heart strings throughout this book. You will feel every range of emotion from hurt, anger, lust, panic, rage, you name it and you'll feel it. It's one big emotional roller coaster ride right from the start. I will say I was hoping to have a little more closure when it came to Kin's father. Don't get me wrong it didn't detract from the story in any way shape or form. I just felt like there were some unanswered questions left on the home front when it came to that whole side of the family. The connection between Jace and Kin was undeniable from the beginning it's clear they are meant to be together. It was a bittersweet how everything played out. I truly cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what happens with Lucy and Harris. Don't miss your chance to read this emotionally intense, riveting new novella!

Another fabulous book from Terri Anne Browning! I've missed a bunch of this series and man I've got to get caught up!? Every one of her books sucks me in from page one and Rocking Kin was no different! Kin is struggling after the loss of her mother, having promised to move in with her Father, a man who has been non-existent in her life until now. Moved across the country, away from the only family she knows and loves, finding herself in a house she'll never consider home, surrounded by people who are family by name alone... Thankfully she meets Lucy, her new best friend and until Jace, a ghost from her past comes back into the picture, everything seemed manageable. But now he's back and her heart can't take another hit.... Fabulous rocker series & author, incredibly beautiful story, I couldn't help but fall in love with everyone of these characters. HIGHLY recommended book, series & author!!
