Book Review Rocklady, The Building of a Labyrinth by Norah Griggs, will lead you into discovering how deep life really is. It will make you feel joy and inspiration. The author gently puts into words her love for mankind and her passion for us all to stay aware and connected in the preservation and respect of our earth. Written in a down to earth style for everyone, young and old to find entertaining, refreshing and educational, Norah Griggs tells about building a labyrinth in her woods. During which she learned to see the signs around her and to listen to the guiding spirit inside her. She learned to trust her senses and her instincts The book is beautifully illustrated with the sketches of Kim Richmond, a close friend and former Martial Arts student who helped and watched as Rocklady prepared, planned and placed each rock into the intricate and complex pattern of the labyrinth. Labyrinths, though an ancient artifact, are becoming more and more popular around the world. You can find them in churches, hospitals, retreats, parks, as well as back yards, gardens and woods. They are to many a very important tool to reconnect with their inner and spiritual self, thus calming the soul and creating peace within. This book is for anyone looking to explore the true meaning of life¿s twists and turns. Discovering that events in our life are learning experiences to help us understand that with each day there is a sunrise and sunset and that it is within our power to make the best of that day.

In search of calm and clarity, The author builds a labyrinth in her back woods. This petite and lovingly packaged book captures the author's reflections on other life matters that remind us of the complicated world we live in. Less than a strict how-to manual on laying down a labyrinth than a record of the labyrinth's restorative powers, this book shoud be of interest to labyrinth followers.

Rocklady, The Building Of A Labyrinth, by Norah Griggs, is a very profound, easy read. It will make you laugh and cry and will inspire you to follow your dreams. Norah tells of her own struggle in the 'labyrinth' of life. She speaks of how much beauty there is to be seen in everything that happens along the path. She explains that with every bad turn there is a good turn, with every negative there is a positive, and that it must remain that way in order to keep balance in our lives. I eagerly await her next book.
