Rocky Mountain Heat (Six Pack Ranch, #1) by Vivian Arend

New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend brings you the first STAND ALONE book in the bestselling SIX PACK RANCH series.

He's the one who taught her to ride. Now all he wants is to ride her.

Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but trouble. But when trouble's a western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, what's a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.

Jaxi has other plans for Blake's hands, and his heart. She may have once considered him a big brother, but that was a long time ago. She's all grown up now and ready to convince him that she's perfect for him. Except he can't seem to see past the big "don't touch" sign that's apparently still hanging around her neck.

When Jaxi ends up living right under Blake's nose, the undeniable heat between them slides off simmer and leaps up to barn-burning levels. However, a few of the younger six-pack Colemans have decided Jaxi's brand of trouble is worth risking a few busted bones.

That is, if Blake's finally ready to let go the reins and fight for what he wants...

Warning: Sexy cowboys seducing and being seduced in trucks, pool halls and barns. Droolworthy country charm, a little double-teaming, a few secrets and a whole lot of brothers to look forward to. Anyone wanna go for a ride?

I fell in love with Vivian Arend's stories with her werewolves, so when I saw this new series I jump right on it and I wasn't disapointed. As always her skills as a writer never leave you wanting more :). I can't wait till the next book comes out, the waiting is the hard part of any new series. This book was 406 pages of steamy hotness!!!

I loved this book. There's not a lot more to say about it than that.

This was odd. I feel that the author has great potiential but the love triangle was too much. Futhermore, not just a love triangle but a love triangle of six brothers competing for the same woman. It took from the romance and made it unsettling.

All different "romance flavors" to savor. Naughty without being crude. Romantic without being predictable. Best of all you fall in love with the family just like the main character jaxi. Im anxiously awaiting to read about the next brother!!!

Wanted to like it more. I had trouble finding the chemistry. It was written to be hot but it felt like luke warm.

Started out good....but brothers sharing girls and threesomes with cousins...just star for author having guts to write a star for book being free.....5 stars for me for not reading the other books in this series

Love can be fickle, especially when age and six brothers are involved. It's a wonder how the girl was able to settle on just the one, but settle is such a derogatory term for the fun these two have. From interesting games of pool to romantic games of "what are we eating" at a fine dining establishment to really hot sex this book is sure to keep your interest.

Blake is ten years her senior. But when it comes to love, age don't matter. Jaxi just has to convince Blake of that. Loved the whole large family. Can't wait to read about all the other brothers. I'm halfway thru book two and these 6-pack of guys are just HOT!

Jaxi has known the Coleman's for years. She has dated some of the boys but her heart has been set on the oldest brother, Blake, since she was ten. His biggest issue, he is much to old for her. Watch as this spitfire of a woman fights for her man and forces him to admit, being friends is not enough. All the while, his five brothers show their crazy journeys. Ones girlfriend is just plain crazy, another is gilted by his inability to have kids, Travis, the black sheep is just one big old bag of secrets and contridictions, and the twins are both sweet and of course have their little quircks. The Coleman's of the Six Pack Ranch give a new meaning to the phrase "Boys will be boys." This is how their stories begin. This story has great characters, an ever changing plot-line, and while it is sexy, the romance is about more then just the sex.

Great idea, so so writing. Wanted to like this book but there were just to many inconsistancies in the characters. And the way they talk is as if the are uneducated and from the 1850's! Example: Leo(who is 30 years old) uses the term "tomfoolery". When was the last time you heard someone under the age of 90 say that? Sorry Miss. Arend this is my first and last book of yours I will buy.

This is certainly a different family dynamics! The one I ached for was Matt, he isn't the main brother this story is about, but his story touched me. I liked Blake at times, but most of the time I wanted to smack him! He was trying to push our h into others arms becsuse he thought their age difference was an issue. So our h lets the other brothers touch her in order to get Blake to want her. There is alot of sex, descriptive enough but not full of passion. As long as it is free, go for it. It's not a realistic family. I will not be reading more of the series. (Ljb)

I'm struggling with this story. For one there are just too many characters to keep track of. 6 brothers, cousins, friends, and so on. Then random point of views really confused me. Never been a fan of third person writing but I'll struggle on cause I'm not a quitter

Not in to reading or watching porn. I like a good story line with love scenes nicely added. Which this book does not have.

There were times I got sort of bored, but for the most part it's a wonderful read! Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

This book was way too much for me. I liked the idea of the Coleman brothers, i really did. & Jaxi seemed like a interesting character, but the author lost me at the threesome. I had no idea that the book would be this explicit. (Hence the bad review, i feel like somebody else might need my forewarning.) I love cowboy romances, but I couldn't even finish it & def. won't be reading anything else by this author. Sorry.
