Being a writer, I have collected numerous thesauruses over the last forty years and a couple dozen or more etymology books, some antique. Many of the offerings in this book are old hat to me; but I am awed with the quantity of terms I've never heard, much less used. This volume is a must for anyone in the intelligencia who knows that the pronoun "I" should never be used in a prepositoinal phrase. Nook is new to me. When I learn how to get past the borrow feature, I will purchase it.
This is the best thesaurus I have ever come across. It has a great variety of very unique words along with a definition and example sentence for each word.
Nemosyne is the city of the elves. Like its builder, Nemosyne is a beautiful place. Situated on the edge of Lovelorn forest, where the trees start climbing the mountains of Quietude, its is a series of spiraling towers. Each 'stone' isn't actually stone, but a collection of petrified wood from the depths of Lovelorn. It still has a magical life essence, from which the elves draw the power to cast a shield surrounding Nemosyne, protecting it from enemies.
