From a preacher to a male escort, this anthology shows that everyone has a stake in the political direction of the country. I loved the variety and differences in heat levels of the stories, some by established authors I've read before and some by new to me writers. Most of the stories are m/f, though there is one m/m story as well, and they are all short novella length. Taking events from real life happenings and more fanciful 'what if' scenarios, you are sure to find a story or two that will resonate with you.

Rogue Desire is a compilation of stories written by some great authors. These types of releases are a wonderful way to discover new authors. In this collection there is a theme, political, how each of us can make a difference, whether big or small, if we live in a small town or big city we can all contribute. All were very inspiring stories ( of course I loved the Canadian connections! ) The first story is by Adrianna Anders, GRASSROOTS. This one started off strong and funny and had quite a few delightful surprises. Personal Disaster by Ainsley Booth gives us the yummy Marcus with mountain man appeal and go getter journalist Poppy. This was a fun and sexy read. A very swoon worthy romance with some naughty, sexy outdoor fun. Need more ! Deep throat by Dakota Grey was unexpected. Super sexy, hot with a dose of intrigue. Kissing and other forms of sedition by Emma Barry was a very sweet story. I fell in love with Graham! And the story line was so so on target given the current political climate. Truth, love and Sushi by Stacey Agdern was an interesting peek into the "first family'. Loved the ending but would so want a follow,up.

Avg rating 4.375 Grassroots by Adriana Anders - 5 stars I adored this unique story. Zach was such a sweet and caring man. I loved watching him evolve from being reclusive and shy. I also enjoyed witnessing the connection and passion he had with Veronica. I've never truly imagined what it must be like for a blind man to form an intimate relationship. I liked how Veronica took the time to understand him and how the author formed their connection. Deep Throat by Dakota Gray - 5 stars Dakota always delivers the hot and dirty. I've been addicted to her stories since I first read Perv. Her heroes are alpha males with soft hearts and dirty mouths, and the ladies are strong, sexy, and never hesitate to put their man in their place. I loved Hailey and Davis's story. There was a little mystery and lots of passion. It made me want to grab my hubby. Resistance by Amy Jo Cousins - 3.5 stars Good but tedious story. I felt lost the entire first chapter and felt like there was too much politically charge discussions. Once we moved on to the motorcycle escape, I was wrapped up in it. I was anxious to see where Kaz and Will's connection would lead. I only wish we would have gotten a little more. Kissing and Other Forms of Sedition by Emma Barry - 4 Stars This was a short but enjoyable story. It was only four chapters, but the author was able to clearly develop or rather enhance the existing relationship between Garrett and Cadence. The focus was on the moment that these characters finally come together. They've been working with one another for over a year without expressing their feelings. I loved witnessing the moment of acquiescence and their passion. Truth, Love, and Sushi by Stacey Agdern - 4.5 stars Political intrigue and forbidden lovers, what more could you ask for? I was sucked into this story. Caroline and Max were great characters and the perfect, yet unlikely, pair. I only wish we would have gotten to witness more intimacy between the two. This would make a great full-length novel. My Delight Is In Her by Jane Lee Blair - 4 star This was a surprisingly spiritual and lovely story. I liked the characters and their cause. I was happy with their eventual acceptance of each others feelings/opinions and reconciliation. However, I struggled with the reason for Kim and Leonard's break-up all those years ago and Kim's reasoning. She appeared selfish and too angry in my opinion. And it was difficult for me to see her as the wounded woman she portrayed. I also had a hard time believing that her friend wouldn't call her out on her selfishness and unreasonable expectations of Leonard. Personal Disaster by Ainsley Booth - 5 stars Ugh!!! Why do you do this to me, Ainsley?! I need the rest of their story! Let me back up for you readers... Marcus and Poppy's story was perfect. I wouldn't really say this is a cliffhanger since we get a full account of their falling for each other and expectations for the future. But Ainsley certainly leaves it open and hints at more when she says, "The End (For Now)." I can't wait to see what's in store for this pair. Life, Liberty, and Worship by Tamsyn Parker - 4 stars Intense and hot but a bit off putting. I was immediately drawn to the tension that was palpable between Carter and Paige. My anticipation was at an all time high for these two to finally connect. I also loved the fact that Carter was nerdy and awkward. Read more at
