Shadow Unit may have overturned the illegal arms cartel in Kuala Lumpur, but the harrowing undercover op left emotional scars on Sergeants Shawn Weller and Connor Finley. Slowly, patiently, they piece their partnership back together, closer now than ever before.

But the arrival of Julian Montgomery, Shawn's former CIA handler and lover, threatens to tear them apart. Julian knows all of Shawn's secrets as well as the past Shawn has kept hidden from Connor. Now the self-serving Julian wants Shawn back-with the CIA and with him. No one will get in his way. Including Connor.

When the joint Shadow Unit/CIA mission to stop the supplier of a deadly biological weapon goes sideways, Connor is captured, tortured, and used as a human test subject. It's a race against time to save his life. But who can Shawn trust?

And who has gone rogue?

Rogue Soldier (ShadowRogue Soldier (Shadow Unit #2) Jamie Lynn Miller Sergeants Shawn Weller and Connor (Finn) Finley are lovers and partners in the elite Shadow Unit. What had begun as an offshoot of British Military Intelligence to combat terrorism grew into a joint operation with various United States Agencies as well. Combining American Seals, like Finn with British specialists like Shawn. After a mission in Afghanistan, Julian Montgomery, Shawn's former CIA handler and lover approaches the team for a mission to Pakistan to search and recover biochemical weapons. Montgomery raises Shawn's suspicions from the beginning of the mission, but Shawn's warnings go unnoticed until the mission goes astray.... The book is narrated poorly from the third person point of view from both of our protagonists. The plot is soapy, with lots of bad romance, and boring sex scenes. There is no passion in the love scenes. The character development is mostly one dimensional. The heroes never came alive for me so I never cared for them. The writing style could be improved. Even though this is the second in a series, the book does stand alone. I do not recommend the book. Unit #2) Jamie Lynn Miller
