Rogues Go West: Brighter than Gold, In a Renegade's Embrace, The Duke & the Cowgirl by Cynthia Wright

Travel back in time with New York Times Bestselling Author Cynthia Wright. Immerse yourself in the historically colorful American West and discover adventurous, romantic magic when Rogues Go West!

In 1864 Columbia, California, spirited Katie McKenzie writes newspaper articles about the Griffin, a Robin Hood-style highwayman who robs from the unscrupulous mine owners and gives back to the townspeople. When roguish Jack Adams, an adventurer with a secret, rides into town one sleepy afternoon, Katie's life is changed forever.

Fox Matthews, a recent survivor of Little Bighorn, is in no mood for love, but when he meets proper Madeleine Avery in rollicking 1876 Deadwood, South Dakota, passion kindles in spite of the obstacles between them. As cultures collide between new settlers and the Lakota people, Fox and Maddie discover the secrets of their own hearts.

"An English Duke and a woman from the Wild West – that's a combination you just can't beat!" says author Catherine Coulter. Join impetuous Shelby Matthews, daughter of Fox and Maddie, as she manages the family ranch in Cody, Wyoming and promptly loses half of it in a poker game to dashing Geoffrey Weston, an English nobleman who has come to the West in search of adventure.

"Cynthia Wright magically entwines passion and history!" ~ Kathe Robin, ROMANTIC TIMES

This is a wonderful series. I have read all Cynthia Wright's books, and my favorite are the bundle about the Beauvisage and Raveneau families and then this bundle. The first book in this series doesn't tie into the last two, but is still a wonderful read. I love how the author writes about not only the history but the people who were making the history at that time. Books two and three of the Western bundle are tied together, but can also stand alone. I like how the author weaves the character's from previous books into the current story. She just doesn't mention their names, but they are interacting with our current H/H. All her books have romance that builds slowly, and the love making is tastefully done, not vulgar. I highly recommend this Western Bundle and the other bundles by this author, what a great deal. I won't go into the storyline, because it has been mentioned, but just know this is a great way to enjoy your time. (ljb)

Three western stories in one book, and worth more than the few dollars spent: 1.Brighter Than Gold:-Two's company and three's a crowd with characters Katherine MacKenzie, Jack Adams, and the Griffin as the trio. 2.Fire Blossom: Maddie and Fox Matthews of Deadwood, Dakota territory. 3.Wild Blossom:-Continuation of the Matthews family with daughter Shelby going to Cody, Wyoming to run her father's new ranch but loses half ownership to a newly arrived British stranger in a poker game and tries to recover loss before father finds out. Lots of fun. MDK75

The history channel is a single source. You have to open your mind to books, movies, reinactments, records, etc... something you obviously haven't done. The people of the early western civilizations were some of the the roughest, toughest sons of bit<_>ches America had to offer in their century.

She sighed, turning her attention to a manicured nail. Shifting, she pushed up the concealed pearl handeled revolver that was in her dress.
