Rogue's Son by Darcy Flynn is a book that will draw you in deeper and deeper as you read until you can't put it down. Ms. Flynn has given us a book that is well-written and packed it with amazing, lovable characters. Kit is struggling to keep her family's B&B solvent. Sam has opened a lodge on the neighboring ranch but he needs something from Kit to open his resort to capacity. Their story is full of drama, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed reading Rogue's Son and look forward to reading more from Darcy Flynn in the future. Rogue's Son is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read a print copy of this book.

Maybe going rogue ain't such a bad thing! I loved the interplay between the hero and heroine in this book and the ending was perfect! I also enjoyed the secondary characters. Darcy Flynn does a great job of putting you in the book. Her sensory descriptions help you to feel along with her characters. The plot was clear and easy to follow, with just enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. When something surprised me, I could look back and see that the clues were there, so it made sense and wasn't coming from left field, the mark of a well-written book. If you up for a fun, romantic read, Darcy Flynn has got just the thing for you!

Beautiful and Sweet Romance! Sam Dawson left Sugar Creek six years ago. Why? That's exactly the question that Kit Kendall has been asking herself for the last six years. Now, being that Sam has returned, she might just get an answer to that question. There's just one problem. Sam is Kit's childhood sweetheart as well as the person that just might be trying to put her out of business. So, how will Kit ever get the answer to the question when she's so angry with Sam that she doesn't want to see him, much less talk to him. Except that Sam is making it really difficult for her to do that when he's always showing up. As for Sam, he has his reasons for doing so, reasons that are a mystery to Kit. But she's determined to find out what those reasons are and she plans on doing so without giving up any of her land or giving up her heart. Kit soon finds out that the second is going to be much more difficult to succeed at than the first.  Darcy Flynn has done a great job of creating a sweet romance story. But it's not just a romance. It's a story of letting go of baggage, learning to forgive and trust, and starting over. It's also infused with humor and some intrigue. It kept me smiling, sighing, and laughing, as well as keeping me on the edge of my seat. And just when I thought I had things all figured out, the author threw in one more little surprise that I didn't see coming. Rogue's Son is a beautiful and sweet romance that once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down until you've read the very last word.  *****I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and viewpoints are my own.

Reviewed by Tina Gibbons for Readers' Favorite Rogue's Son by Darcy Flynn is a clean romance. Kit Kendall, owner of Sage Brush, the once-thriving West Texas bed and breakfast ranch, now struggles daily to keep her business afloat. Since McCabe Lodge reopened next door as a multi-million-dollar resort, she suffers one cancellation after another. Just when she thought things couldn't get any worse, Kit’s former neighbor - whom she was in love with as a teenager - returns as the new owner of that resort. Sam Dawson has returned to Sugar Creek after six years, but with a secret. Under circumstances set by his father’s will, Sam doesn't have much time to convince Kit to sell him her ranch or reveal the truth about her father that will break her heart.  Darcy Flynn did a smashing job with this romantic must-read. Kit Kendall was such a vivid and real character that it was impossible not to connect with her emotionally. Her tomboy ways were endearing. Her family pride and stubborn streak made me respect her. Sam Dawson was the definition of a cowboy. He added just the right amount of hunky spice to the story, and I have to add he was a gentleman to boot. I found him just dreamy. The plot was developed and delivered in a clear, concise manner. I enjoyed the way it played out. Even though I could guess some characters were a little bit evil, there were still some surprises as to the depths of dirty dealings to which they would stoop. Oh, those characters you can love to hate. I love them. I was very taken with Rogue's Son and look forward to reading more by this author.
