I can't say enough good things about this album - introspective and touching lyrics, wonderful melodies, and John Mayer has an incredible voice. I'm just sorry that I didn't discover him sooner. Buy this album! You won't be disappointed - every song is ear candy.

What an incredible sound. The music on this CD is a treat for the ears, and good for the soul. I have worn mine out already. I would highly recommend this talented new artist.

I love John Mayer but I think this cd is much to poppish. I first saw John Mayer on a VH1 feature introducing new singers. I liked John so I downloaded a bunch of songs which I listened to day and night. Then I went out and bought the cd and I was actually disappointed. The background music just doesnt fit him imo.

Granted it has a Dave Matthews vibe to it, but I think this album is fantastic! This is an album I can listen to over and over again.

My liking towards this album puzzled me on account of the fact that my favorite bands are Nirvana and Pink Floyd, but I really like this CD! My friend (just after forcing me to listen to Avril Lavigne on another one of her "You need happier music!" rants) made me listen to this CD and I absolutely loved it. John Mayer is EXTREMELY talented in the field of music and is awesome on the guitar. I fully recommend it!

As a student at Miami University in Ohio, John Mayer was perhaps the biggest and most common name of a musician I heard all year. ''John Mayer'' this, ''Your Body is a Wonderland'' that--and I agree! Not only do I have every possible version of all his songs, so does everyonen else on campus. He by far outdistances Dispatch, Jack Johnson, G Love, Howie Day, and everyone else. With amazing lyrics that are incredibly quotable on IM profiles and in life, John Mayer is the hot ticket for anyone on our campus--and I have to laugh when I hear of my other classmates at other colleges just discovering the wonder that is Mayer. ''Comfortable'' is by far my favorite song, along with ''Your body is a wonderland'' ''No such thing'' ''My stupid mouth'' and ''1983''. If you have any doubts about this guy, forget them!

I had been browsing through new artists one day on a site and I heard a sample of John Mayer and instantly got hooked on his music. I love his style of music and his lyrics are true. You have to listen to Walk On the Ocean.

I fell in love with the music when I heard the first strumms of the guitar. I may have personal bias for I like the sound of strings more than any other musical instruments. And when I heard his piece, it's like seeing my six-month old daughter's eyes gladly welcoming the sight of her mother returning from work.

I heard John Mayer a while back before anyone who even knew who he was. The song ''No Such Thing'', was played on our GAP CD at my work. I loved it the first time I heard it. I wanted to know who sang it, I was going crazy so I had my manager dig out the song list and so I could find out what it was. When I got home to see if his CD was out yet... IT WASN'T, but, I bought it pretty close to the day it came out. I so badly want to go to his concert! I can't find tickets and GOD! I want them. I love every song on the album equally. John has the smoothest voice. I love it! He is so great. And also, what a cutie. From his heart filled lyrics in ''Your body in a Wonderland'' and his whitty comments on live performance recordings. John Mayer has got it all! I can't wait for him to use his talent for even more!

When I first saw his music video for "No Sutch Thing" I laughed at him! He seemed to be a wannabe mix of Bob Dylan and Dave Matthews. But then about 6 months later I heard "3x5" and I said WOW! But I didn't want to pay $12.99 for one song so I didn't buy it. Then about 5 months after that... I got this for christmas. After listening to the whole CD about 3 times it grew on me! Now I love it! Of course he's no Dylan or Matthews! But he is a great alternative!

everybody needs to buy this album--so that they can get into john mayer. john is just so real, so down-to-earth with his lyrics. he says the things that everyone feels, but that most are afraid to vocalize. not only does he open himself up, but he does so with wonderful songs. my favorite at the moment is ''why georgia.'' it was the song i was most looking forward to him recording, and i love how it turned out. the only thing that bothers me is that his guitar playing is often hidden so those of you who have never heard him cannot fully grasp this man's insane ability. you MUST check him out live; the shows are unreal.

This is one of the best CDs I've heard in awhile. Not only is John Mayer sexy, but his voice is incredible. Sounding like a mellowed-out Dave Matthews, John's voice and lyrics capture the listener immediately. GREAT CD to listen to in the car, while working, or while just relaxing!

instantly when i heard this music i thought of DAVE MATTHEWS BAND ? but no it was not the DMB (DAVE MATTHEWS BAND) but a new artist named JOHN MAYER. after hearing the songs i fell all over them. Not only are they soothing and beautiful, but extrodinary and unique. Unlike other people i have bought, ALL the songs on here are wonderful, in which other cd's i have gotten have been greatly dissapointed by the lack of poetry and meaning. i would recomend this cd to ANYONE, buy it :) ;) :).

I think this CD is one of the best that I've bought this year. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's not a traditional pop album, this guy actually has great talent! Not only can he sing, he can write great stuff! Not often seen these days.

I decided to buy John Mayer after hearing all the buzz from Music Midtown and friends in school. Leslie Fram from 99x is a fan (apparently) and got John some airtime and I just feel in love. He voice is wonderful and his lyics are touching. This is one of those CDs that everyone should own. I listen to it so much that I wonder if a CD can wear out like vinyl.

The combination of jazz, blues, rock and piercing, hard truth lyrics, John Mayer's Room for Squares will enhance your mood almost instantly. Listeners will compare the album to a genre generally attributed to Dave Matthews, Barenaked Ladies, or Toad the Wet Sprocket. The CD contains a fresh and seemingly endless supply of catchy guitar riffs combined with artistfully written fresh lyrics. From the initial track to the end, John Mayer keeps your attention, connecting you with the stories and emotions keenly played out through mood-changing guitar.

It is so refreshing to have a TALENTED person actually making records. I had given up hope in this all style no substance period in music. This boy is all substance!

While many have compared this debut commercial release from Mayer to the Dave Matthews Band, that's not fair to either artist. Mayer's lyric skills are much more mainstream and heartfelt with comparisons to artists like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Chris Rea as a better discription. There are no bad songs on this album, and have you have a chance to preview it, listen to "Neon", "3X5" and "83" which are much better cuts than the second single "Your Body is A Wonderland". Overall, Room for Squares is so good that I've already bought six copies and passed it on for friends, and I haven't done that since Stealy Dan's Aja.

John Mayer is an upcoming artist, and is one of the most taleneted of our time. Fluid is his guitar, and inspiring is his voice. Absolutely sensational is he, and I full-heartedly recommend this CD. I actually have several copies of it in my household. It's an essential for the collector, and a timeless one at that.

This is by far the best CD I own. It never seems to leave my player and I never seem to get tired of it. John Mayer is one of the most talented and sexiest artist I have seen in a while. He has an incredible voice and lyrics that touch your heart. He is amazing live and anyone who loves John Mayer should also own "Any Given Thursday". Another great song that is not on the disc is "Comfortable". Check it out.

Wow, this album truly pulls you in and envelops your senses. This is such a refreshing change from the monotony that exists in music. Every lyric is pure and strangely inviting. The whole track list is exceptional, especially No Such Thing, Great Indoors, and Your Body is a Wonderland. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who enjoys listening to Dave Matthews, Pete Yorn, or the Strokes.

WOW- that's the word i use to describe this debut release from the new 24 year old sensation, John Mayer. He writes his own lyrics, music, has an amazing voice and is extremely talented at playing the guitar. While he has been compared to Dave Matthews, his style is a lot different and the music he plays is not really comparable to all the other music that is around today. The songs on this album range from pop to rock, lounge to jazz and much more. While most people know the first single ''no such thing'' the album has a lot more than that one song to offer. Room For Squares is a definate must-have for any good CD collection- make sure you add it to yours today!
