This book is beautiful! This book is an encouraging word at whatever stage of life you are in~ If you are on a journey to discover what God's love is or wondering how deep it is for you at this place in your life~ this book can kick start your path. God's love is so BIG for us! Reading this book is like having a chat and chew with your BFF(Best Friend Forever). Lara writes this book with love, personal stories~ touching and funny to help us relate. It is encouraging, funny and reignites that focus for God. God really shows up through Lara's words in this book. I was blessed enough to be invited on her launch team. Lara guided us day by day through the book which is based on the book of Ephesians. In the book, we read only a few verses each day but it let us really dig into the verses in a way we could see God. We learned how to really understand what the verses meant then and how it also applies to our life now~ you'll find we are not in this alone. That is what makes the Bible become more real when it dances in our today. It is so amazing; I can recommend it enough! Out of 5 stars I would give it 11!
All love begins with God. God loved us before we were even woven together in our mother's womb. He loves us with a sweet yet fierce love. A love that cannot be diminished by our wrong doings. A love that cannot grow stronger by our good deeds. A love that is never changing and never wavering. When we begin to see and understand the love that God has for us, His treasured children, we are then able to show love to others. In her new study Rooted - Going Deep Into God's Transforming Love, Lara Williams says, "Love down and love out." God's love comes down to us, then we can love out to others. The world wants love. You want love, I want love. How can we not want everyone to find the deep transforming love of God? In Rooted - Going Deep Into God's Transforming Love, Lara openly shares her own story as she digs into the book of Ephesians and finds God's love. She finds that all love is rooted in Him so that it can grow out to others. Each week Lara digs into how God's love is: immeasurable, irrational, mysterious, unifying, purifying, and empowering. Each day you will dig into God's Word, read from Lara's heart, and turn it back to you with thought provoking questions. Rooted - Going Deep Into God's Transforming Love is a wonderful study to do on your own, to grab a girlfriend or two and go through together, or to do with a larger group. However you do the study, you will walk away feeling rooted in God's love and ready to take His love out.
This book is a gem. Throughout reading it, I have been challenged, convicted, and encouraged by Lara's relatable and personable writing. I have read through Ephesians several times before, but this study has brought me so much deeper. On a personal note, God has totally used this study to reveal some lies that I have been believing about myself and my relationships, and as a result I have had several hard, but needed conversations with loved ones and myself. Also, I have been able to encourage other friends with the lessons I have been learning. On a practical note, the days were set up in such an easy way to both read and reflect, and I am going to be applying several tools used in the book into my personal studies. Whether you have never read Ephesians or have read it multiple times and whether you are a believer or just checking things out I highly recommend this book to you!
