As a psychic medium for celebrities, Rory always manages to stay professional, no matter what the spirits may throw at her. But when it comes to the megastar rapper, Curtis Love, Rory finds herself distracted by his dark, chocolate sex appeal, his playful charm and his lavishly fun lifestyle. One moonlit night on a yacht in southern France, he makes it clear that the attraction is mutual.
While Rory basks in the romance and glamour that comes with dating Curtis, he hates the fact that her career puts her in the path of one crazy ghost after another. He adores Rory, but can a man as protective as Curtis continue to watch helplessly while his girl is torn apart by spirits he can't even see?
Rory gets that Curtis wants to keep her safe, but she's got clients to protect as well, not just from the dead, but from the living too. Surrounded by mystery and danger, Rory doesn't know who or what to save- her relationship, her clients, or her own life.

Aurora, A.K.A. Rory, is a psychic—a professional medium to celebrities that makes good money. Hey, why not use what you got, right? Yeah, Rory’s got a sweet gig, especially when a regular asks for her help to communicate with his dead grandmother. She has an unrequited love for him, but she’ll go just to be near him. Sometimes communicating with spirits can be hard, especially when nightmares of rape and spirit attacks make the job unbearable and dangerous. But, still, she doesn’t let that stop her. Pretty soon, her crush quickly turns to lust, and she gets tangled in a love affair. I love psychic stories, but I felt that this one delved a little too much on the biz of music (some of the jazz and R&B songs I just didn’t recognize.) Plot was lagging and lacked a certain mystery or thrill. Hoping for more of a psychic mystery. Was this really about the life of a celebrity psychic with lavish penthouses, chandeliers, and yachts? The whole thing was mostly on Rory fawning over Curtis and following him around. There was nothing really to it. It was all about Rory’s love. Kind of disappointing.
I really enjoyed reading this novel very much. ShelleyMA
Rory's Love by Donna Butler is a fantastic read. I absolutely love the premise of a medium for the stars and this is so well written. Toss in a sexy love interest, and I am sold. I cannot wait to see more from this author. Well done indeed.
