Rosolio Red (a Franki Amato Mysteries holiday short story) by Traci Andrighetti

From USA Today bestselling author Traci Andrighetti...

With Christmas around the corner, Franki Amato’s got visions of her sugarplum, Bradley Hartmann, dancing in her head. Now that she finally has some time off from her PI job, she’s cooking him up a special holiday treat, and it’s not figgy pudding. Her Yuletide plans are dashed, however, when her meddlesome Sicilian grandma goes missing, and she has to hurry home to Houston to investigate. All the evidence points to foul play, but then there’s a bizarre break in the case—one that makes her wonder whether her notorious nonna has been naughty or nice.

This laugh riot of a mystery is the very thing to lighten your holiday stresses! Living in NOLA, Franki would rather spend Christmas with her main squeeze, but then her Italian grandmother goes missing so Frankie gets herself off to Houston. There she hunts for her Nona while everyone from the parish priest to the dry cleaner nag her about not having a husband, just like her Nona always does! I love this writer's work!

Traci Andrighetti has managed to combine several of my favorite genres into one with this laugh out loud short read. Amateur sleuth, cozy mystery, romance and comedy combine for a special escape read as Franki Amato must give up her holiday plans to return home and search for her grandmother. Or should I stress meddling grandmother. Is she the victim of a sweetheart swindler? All evidence points to a mysterious man in black. After meeting Franki and her friends I want to read this entire series.

Francesca (Franki) was looking forward to spending Christmas Eve with her boyfriend when she received a phone call from her Mom telling her that her grandma was missing. Worried that her grandma could be a victim of a "sweetheart swindler" or worse she went home to Houston to help with the search. This short story is both a mix of humor and mystery and like all of Traci Andrighetti's books a fun time.
