Overview

Roman "Romeo" Freemont puts his tragic history in the deep freeze. Instead he takes to a time-honored cowboy tradition of women and liquor to soothe his aching heart, but when a petite brunette with a feisty temper comes crashing into his world, he realizes what he's been missing.

Francesca "Franki" Scott has walked through fire herself. Nowadays she just isn't a people person, and she's definitely not interested in a wannabe playboy ranch owner either. She has a mission and it could mean life or death for someone close to her if she gets distracted.

Closing the gap between these two wounded souls could mean surviving yet another tragedy. Will their determination to hide their pain from themselves be their downfall, or will they come through this rough ride together?

Interesting addition to the Crawley Creek series as two strong willed individuals meet. The suthor brings this story to life as country boy meets city girl and sparks fly. Fascinating read!

Franki and Romeo are two lost souls that are trying to live in their own worlds but still not living a full life due to guilt and fear. After meeting with a bang, these two end up on an adventure to search for a lost sister. Together they discover that they can overcome past issues, guilt, and that family will love and support you no matter what. This book covers a wide variety of emotions for the reader. I loved Franki's temper and snarkiness. She can hold her own in any conversation that will leave you laughing and cheering her on. Romeo's history and Franki's sisters story will have you wiping tears. The love, tenderness, sweetness and sexiness of their romance will leave you wanting a cowboy for your own! Rough Ride Romeo is a fantastic addition to this series.

Guilt is like a decease, that infects your soul and attacks your mind. Roman “Romeo” Freemont knows first hand the depth of despair that comes from not only a tragic past, but failing the person who supported you most; so he lives his life the only way he knows how, by drowning his sorrows in bars and broads one day at a time. Francesca “Franki” Scott has lived a solitary life, avoiding people and notice to the best of her ability. But Franki loves her baby sister and will move heaven and earth to keep her safe, so when danger and the unknown lead Franki to Crawley Creek on a rescue mission, the last thing she needs is a sexy Cowboy with demons of his own, hell bent on being her knight in shining armour. Rough Ride Romeo is a emotional, tragic and heartfelt story of love and loss and the strength of the human heart to conquer adversity at every turn.

The second book in the Crawley Creek Ranch series is about playboy, Roman "Romeo" Freemont. Romeo has decided to dull his pain with alcohol and women. He meets Franki Scott when he nearly hits her with his truck. Now he has to put her up on his ranch while his brother fixes her destroyed motorcycle. Franki is not interested in Romeo's charm because she is focused on finding her sister and getting her free from the human traffickers who are holding her. When cowboy Romeo finds out he insists on helping her and they find themselves drawn to each other. Romeo falls hard for Franki and supports her after her sister is found. An awesome book by the author who does cowboys the best, Lori King. This is a quick read that will keep you reading until the very end.

Emotional Growth Defined! Lori King has the wonderful talent of letting her readers ride along with her characters. The ride in this book takes us through Roman Freemont's life. Romeo as he is known by all is a scarred, scared, little boy when he is brought to Crawley Creek Ranch as a child. Here he learns he has worth and how to grow up strong in character by his "new" family. He has new brothers and is accepted for who he is. Romeo is devastated when he loses the only father he has ever known, and the guilt he feels is eating him alive. If he had only been there when he was supposed to be...Abe Crawley wouldn't have been doing Romeo's job. Now all romeo does is drink and womanize...passing out where ever he is when he drops. Can he get his act together before its too late? Will his family have to step in and wake him up to the trouble he is in? Franki Scott is the answer Romeo needs to a question he doesn't even know he wants to ask. Franki is only in town to find her missing sister. But when destiny seems to take a hand in her life and she finds herself staying at the Crawley Creek Ranch while her motorcycle is repaired. Romeo and Franki have much more in common than they know. and when things start getting intense for Franki...It is Romeo and his family that step in to help. The characters grow and seem to mature with each page you turn in Ms King's fantastic third installment of the Crawley Creek Series. While the first book and the pre-quel were very short reads. This book is longer and has richer detail. The secondary characters are just as real and you find yourself wanting to know everything about them. I look forward to reading more in this series. Ms. King's skill at weaving a story are as mesmerizing and enthralling as any of the finest authors throughout time. 5 Stars!

This is the story of Roman 'Romeo' and Franki. They do not have an auspicious start as he runs over her motorcycle due to a post-bender haze. She stays at the ranch whilst Vin fixes her bike. Whilst she is there, she becomes closer to Roman and confides in him just exactly why she is there. Things look dark for Franki and Roman wants to help in any way he can. This story deals with a darker situation than the others, but I thought that Lori King once again did an amazing job for the majority of it. The conclusion to that part of the story is absolutely heart-rending and emotional. I have only given 3-stars for this book because, although I loved the story and the characters, it seemed quite jerky to read in places, and the ending was abrupt and rushed. Saying that, I would still recommend reading this book, and series. * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

4 star I was pulled right into this story. This story contains heartbreak, pain, secrets, and suspense.  If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Forget Me Knot (Crawley Creek, #1) This is Franki and Romeo's story. Franki and Romeo meet when he backs into her bike.  She is in town searching for her sister.  She does not want anyone to know why she is in town.  Romeo offers to get her bike fixed and allow her to stay at the family ranch.  Once she lets him in on her secret he will help her in her search.  Will they be too late for her sister?  Can Franki even think about her feelings for Romeo before she figures out the situation with her sister?  Will Romeo be able to set Franki free if that is what she needs? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Lori King is a fabulous story-teller. I could “see” each of her characters come to life on the pages. The words she writes keep you entertained and involved in the plot as well.  I was so invested in Franki’s plight, it felt almost like it was happening to me. My emotions were all over the place as I followed along.  Romeo finds Lori by mistake and at first he was inconvenienced by her. He soon has a change of heart and ends up helping her. Fantastic twist there.  I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
