This is a novella in the Skeleton Key series. Ava Green sells real estate with a partner who has mysteriously disappeared. She has just purchased an old Victorian mansion to renovate and flip. While walking through the house, she comes across an odd door and opens it with and even stranger skeleton key. On the other side is an enchanted forest peopled by elves and all manner of strange creatures. For the first time in her life, Ava feels strangely at home in a place where she has never been. She meets the Dark Elf King, Finn, who recognizes Ava as his mate, but he must convince her that they are destined to be together. A terrible war between Light and Dark elves has drained the magic from this land called Edra. After a prophecy was foretold that a hybrid of the two would bring back the magic, the elves began searching for that person. Being a modern young woman raised in the human world, Ava is not quite convinced that she must be mated to this King, or that she can do anything to help these people. Finn gets Ava to promise to give him a chance to convince her they are meant to be, and that she is the one they have hoped who would come and save them all. Ava learns much about who her parents actually where while trying to help Finn reclaim what was lost. This is a pleasant enough story, but it seemed lacking somehow. The characters are likable;however, it all felt very rushed and predictable. I have enjoyed novels by Lia Davis more so I was a bit disappointed.

I would really give this more of 3.5 stars Short story As with any short story, it moves fast. But the end went real fast, like it was rushed. I do believe in love at-first-site, but sometimes I think its over done to make the story move faster. I feel like there were a few questions left unanswered, yet some were answered halfway. Overall, its a decent story. *I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

The blurb to this book really caught my eye and I was excited to get the opportunity to read the book. Author Lia Davis does a fine job at making the reader feeling like they are part of this Fae world. I loved the whole concept of the book with the primary and secondary characters being interesting and well thought out. For me, Kellam, Finn's head of security is the character that really caught my attention and I would love to know more about him in future books. The elements to this book are perfect but what was lacking for me was time to fully develop the storyline to keep the reader spellbound. It felt too rushed. For this reason I give it 3 STARS. What a cute, sweet & enchanting tale. Davis has painted a world that allowed me to picture the world in which her characters found themselves toiling. The plot was intriguing and well put together. The hint of suspense and danger, as well as the true feelings were a complex combination. I really enjoyed the magick of the tale. It permeated every aspect of it and was developed in a unique manner. And the characters were exciting as well. I loved how Ava came into her own and how strong she was. Finn’s caring and strength was absolutely unforgettable. I really enjoyed getting to know them and how they worked together as a pair. This story is very easy to get into even if you haven’t read the rest of the series. It was a lovely, quick dose of magick that definitely made me smile. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

What a wild ride! I got sucked in from the first paragraph. I couldn’t believe it was over so quickly, this story could have been stretched out to a full-length novel and I wouldn’t have been able to put it down till I was finished. I hope there’s more where that came from, because Ava and Finn’s story was just starting to get really good! There was just enough backstory to pull the reader in and make them want to know more, and just enough action to keep the story moving and the reader interested until the very end.

This is my first time reading Davis. I haven't had the pleasure before. But when I saw the tour for Royal Enchantment and found out they were elves I had to read it. I love elves! The whole idea of this key series is a good one. I'm going have to give a few more books in the series a try. I really enjoyed, Royal Enchantment. I did feel the character fell for each other sorta quickly but I get that because of the short page count. Even with this being a short novella I really enjoyed the story. I loved the characters and the whole world that Davis created. I would love more books in this world. If you are into in elves and romantic stories you'll love Royal Enchantment. This is a great book; this book is part of the Skeleton Key series by Lia Davis. Ava Green has made a name for herself in the real estate world by reconditioning old, historical homes with her partner and friend Jeff. But her newest project, a three-story Victorian in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, promises to be her biggest moneymaker yet. Her first time walking through the house she finds a door locked then a skeleton key appears out of nowhere. When she opens the door she is transported to a mystical world of fae and other creatures. Finn Sylcan is the king of the Dark Elves, he has searched for the one who can bring the magic back to his world. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this book. It's a story about a battle with dark and light elves. Yay I love books about elves. Ava (our heroine) stumbles into a whole new realm and discovers she is an elf and not only that but that she is fated to be mated to the king and help restore peace and magick to the realm. Ava and Finn(our Hero) have an insta attraction and Finn knows right away who and what Ava is. Ava takes a little bit of convincing but they soon find out what they can do together and how much love could be between them. I loved the journey. I love all things paranormal and I especially love elves. The realm in which this book is set up in is magically beautiful. Ava can do and experience to much more in this world and it was fun to see her learn her new home. Solid 4.5 stars. I will defiantly be reading the next one and many more from Lia Davis.

Lia Davis always tells a really good story...and this one is no exception. For reasons she's not sure about, Ava buys a huge Victorian in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She's sunk most of her saving into it in the hopes of flipping it for a nice profit. She walks through the house, admiring the rooms with their coordinating themes, until she comes across a locked door. One that can only be opened with a skeleton key. She tires to pick the lock but has no luck. As she's going down the stairs, she notices an object on the floor (that she could have sworn was not there before)'s a skeleton key (really! It has a skull at the top and the times on the key look like teeth). She uses the key on the locked door....and it opens into a forest. As Ava steps through the door (portal), she is swept into the land of the dark fae and finds out she is the answer to a prophecy to unite both fae courts (dark and light). And destined to marry the dark king, Finn. Of course, nothing is ever easy when it comes to the fae and magic and...true love. This was such an interesting story. I love the characters, the storyline, the mystery and the danger. I definitely recommend it. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Royal Enchantment is the third story I’ve read of the Skeleton Key series, and it was really enjoyable. Our main character – Ava – finds a skeleton key in a house she just recently purchased to renovate. When she uses the key to open a locked door in the house, it whisks her away to a magical land inhabited by elves. Ava immediately meets a handsome elf, Finn, who happens to be King of the Dark Elves (but not in a dark as in evil way). Finn claims that Ava is actually an elf – one who was prophesized to end the war in their land and to restore magic to all elves (dark and light)… and his fated mate. Ava has little time to figure out where she really fits into the story she’s been told before Finn’s evil uncle forces her to take action, examine her uncontrollable desire for Finn, and to hopefully save the elves. Again, I found RE to be a cute, fun, short read. It’s nice when you can read a short story such as this and feel like you’ve gotten a complete adventure along with a satisfying conclusion. As an avid reader, of course I wish there could’ve been more detail, plot, drama, and romance. But still, that would not deter me from recommending this story to others. Ava Green thinks life is going great. Her company is going from strength to strength, she likes her business partner and she's about to tackle her first solo project. She bought the house pretty much unseen but it just drew her in. But her life starts to unravel after her assistant tells her Jeff, her business partner, closed down their office. Then she finds out he died but his wife has siphoned off the money he stole from their business account! But when she finds a skeleton key and opens a door in her new project home, she finds a whole lot more than she bargained for! Finn Syclan is King of the Dark Elves and finds Ava when she steps through the door into his world, which as they fund out is actually her world too! How well will Ava cope when she realises that not only does magic exist but she's an Elf too! Finn and Ava are drawn together but she's reluctant to start a relationship when her life is in such turmoil. They work to unravel why Ava has been called back now and what mysterious magic she has. The story has great twists and turns and the baddies are truly bad, you see no glimpses of remorse at all from them. It's so true that you can't pick family! I'm looking forward to seeing more of these two as the series progresses.

This is a novella in the Skeleton Keys series. This is a great story of Elves, Magic, and Love. I quickly connected to Finn and Ava, the main characters of this novella as they met, connected and wed - Elven style. I only wish the story was longer, I so wanted to read more on Finn and Ava! And I cannot wait to read more of the Skeleton Keys series. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I have received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is an extremely delightful paranormal fantasy complete with a secret realm and other worldly creatures. The characters are very easy to follow and found myself swept away on their quest. It also gives the reader food for thought on possible side stories such as Kallums strange shape shifting abilities or possibly what happens to Sana. Needless to say it has all the elements to hook a reader like me in as well as keep me on the lookout for more in this series! I don't usually give a summary of the story since that can be found on a jacket. This is a very easy read and should totally satisfy any needs for a quick PNR fix

I loved this fairy tale book. Ava finds a skeleton key and opens the locked door only to enter a new realm. The King of the Elves Finn now has Ava in his realm..his destiny is in his sights. Can't wait for more books from this magical realm.

A modern day fairy tale. Ava Green is having a bad day. Her partner has been shot and his widow has cleaned out the accounts and to top it off she has fallen into a world filled with magic, elves and other mystical beings. She handles it with much more aplomb than I would. Royal Enchantment will suck you into a fantastical world where anything can happen. It is a fast pace almost too quick story that will leave you with a smile on your face.
