Told through lilting verse, the story is a gentle introduction to the life lesson that there is always a way, if we believe there is and look for it. Through Ruby Lee's example, young readers are encouraged to think not of limitations but of possibilities.

Editorial Reviews

The Arizona Republic
"Ruby Lee the Bumble Bee boosts the confidence of every kid who's ever said, I can't."
Children's Literature - Ilene S. Goldman
Ruby Lee the Bumble Bee is a gorgeously illustrated, lilting tale about a tenacious, sweet little bee that flies despite the fact that it doesn't look like her little wings can carry her. The second Ruby Lee book, it is also the tale of a tenacious author who self-published her book when no publisher would take it. Ruby Lee is uplifting and fun to read, sort of a Little Engine that Could starring a spritely bee. This version offers "G-d's plan" as the reason Ruby achieves flight, not just her own force of spirit. For this reviewer's taste the G-d message goes on a bit too long. For many readers, however, this will be a delightful read that kids will ask for again and again.
