** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review ** ** Review written by Gayle From Bloggers From Down Under ** Wow, just wow. I’m completely lost for words, so you could only imagine the internal dilemma I’m facing writing my review for Ruin. You see this is a true story, based on actual events, and as a reader I don’t believe any true story should be judged. Maybe it’s just me, but when you are reading real life, it’s a true honour that shouldn’t be rated. This is real life. This is a story about two people with stories to be told, feelings to be shared, secrets to be revealed, but just not between each other, but with the world. We are getting a glimpse of their pain, their thoughts, their struggles, their demons. We are getting their life story. We are able to feel every heartbreak, every moment, every choice they make. We get to hear them. That can never be judged. As a blogger, Ruin for me was nothing short of absolute brilliant. I was captured from the prologue, and I couldn’t put it down. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath. The emotion that I felt was nothing short of soul crushing that at times I was left breathless. My heart broke into a million pieces, my belly ached from the crazy banter, my heart ached. I felt everything and so much more. Rating this, it seems criminal too, because as I said earlier this is real, and real should never be judged or graded. This is a MUST read guys. It doesn’t get any better than this.

The most real book I read from Ms. Clarissa Wild Ruin is the most different book I ever read from the author Ms. Clarissa Wild. I loved the change from her previous books. This book is raw, emotional and heart-warming. It is not as steamy from her previous books but I loved it even more. It gives you the power to heal and forgive to move on with life. I LOVED the forgiveness the most. It is very hard to forgive somebody especially it ruins your entire life. I am sure that many women can relate to Maybell in life who is being bullied but still move on to their her daily life. People are so mean and that we need to fight to stop their ignorance. She gives you the power to do that and heal. This book is very funny and what a very adorable story. It is hard to put it down honestly. I really enjoy reading this book. Disclosure: I received an ARC of the book in exchange of my honest review.

Have you ever been on the amusement park ride as a kid, you know the one. It spins so fast that you can't move just before the bottom drops away? Can you remember the relief you felt when the bottom returned? Were you a little dazed when you got off? .... That is what this book did to me. I will be thinking about Maybells story for the rest of my life. Someone with Asperger's doesn't see the world the same as anyone eles. It can be even harder when there is denial instead of support at home, let alone the cruelty directed at her in school. But then, after a near fatal car crash puts her in hospital she meets a volunteer. A very funny boy named Alex..... This is where their story really begins. It's a beautiful thing to watch their relastionship grow as Alex wins May's acceptance & trust. He comes every day during her long rehabilitation...... but Alex has been keeping secrets from Maybell... Can this new found joy and love survive the truth?

This book is completely different than any other book Clarissa Wild has written, but it is nothing short of amazing. I absolutely loved this was a real, raw and heartbreakingly beautiful story. What do you do when you just don't fit in this world, when the people in your life don't understand just keep going as best you can. That is what Maybell does everyday of her life. This story is her journey through a tragedy she experiences and she finds herself facing a life changing reality that no one would ever want to face. It isn't until she meets Alexander that she is able to process and find the will to move on from her tragic experience. He makes her feel wanted, cared for and feel things no one has ever made her feel. Alexander has a secret that could destroy the relationship that he has been building with Maybell. You'll have to read the story for all the details! You absolutely need to read this book! Especially if you ever been picked on, felt like you just don't fit in, have Asperger syndrome, suffer from depression, have had the experience of having your dignity taken away by hospital staff or just plan need hope.

This is one of the most heartfelt stories Clarissa Wild has ever written. Ruin had me in it's grasp from the moment I started reading it. Maybell and Alexander were beautifully complex characters that were real. If you want a real romance with heart, grab a copy of this book now. You will love it.

I have been following Clarissa for over two years now so while reading this, I felt I was able to pick out the truths compared to the story. I did learn some knew things while reading this too. I was extremely fascinated with this story and I'm so grateful she wrote it. She was able to shine some light on things. I even found myself tearing up. I also loved how after the book she actually talks about what is the truth. As I've got to know Clarissa, I always felt like we could be great friends if we lived closer. After reading this, I believe my suspicions were confirmed. Thank you Clarissa for a splendid read and I'm honored to have met you and that I can call you a friend. Great read so grab yours today!

First off, I'm a die hard Clarissa Wild fan and would read anything she writes... this book however was unlike anything she has shared with us before. A story of pain, strength and love. Tender yet painful to read, knowing this in part a true story, it made me just want to give her a huge hug after finishing!

I love Clarissa Wild. While this book was different than her other books it was just as fantastic. This book is about a girl named Maybell and her life is changed after being in an accident. Alex is a guy she meets while she is recovering and they develop a friendship that turns into more. Both Maybell and Alex are different from others. They however find that they have a lot in common. They find comfort in each other that they can’t seem to find from anyone else even their families. I connected with Maybell is a bit of a different way than most will. I broke my leg severely like Maybell, however with some differences. I broke my leg in a different place, but mine was in a car accident like Maybell. We also have some other things in common such as the online game she likes to play and her love of books. I liked that this book was different than Clarissa’s other books. It showed a different side of her and how she can write. I can’t recommend this book enough and you have to read it. Clarissa this book was fantastic and I am as always looking forward to your next one. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
