Perfect Finish to this Exciting Trilogy Rule the exciting conclusion to CD Reiss’ Corruption series. The series includes two prior books, Spin and Ruin. Neither Rule nor Ruin can be read as stand-alone books. I would liken reading Rule to viewing a museum masterpiece for the first time. It is magnificent. It left me speechless; one week later, and I still don’t think I can adequately convey my esteem for the author and her book. Rule is a masterfully written series culmination. It is the definition of how a series should be concluded. The events in Rule occur at the same time as Jonathan Drazen’s and Monica Faulkner’s story in Sing (Submission series book #7). Reiss’ attention to detail is incredible. She has been concurrently writing three series about different Drazen siblings, and the storylines have parallel and/or overlapping plot points. She has not left one thing out of place; every intersection of the stories is perfectly tied back to the plot point in the first book in which it is mentioned. Reiss has an unparalleled talent for painting a scene for her readers. Not one of the five senses is left out. You can smell the blossoms in the orchard. You can feel a breathy whisper on your ear. You can taste the tobacco in a kiss. You can see pooling blood. The plot is full of big-time, didn’t-see-that-coming twists and turns. Rule is a fast-paced read that is filled with the unpredictable. Reiss keeps her readers guessing and hoping until the very end. I didn’t start out in love with the idea of a mafia story, but I’m definitely in love with CD Reiss’ writing, so I’ll read anything she writes. The characters in the Corruption series grew on me; I don’t know how anyone could not come to love any of Reiss’ well-crafted characters. Antonio Spinelli and Theresa Drazen are the main characters of the entire series. Theresa has changed from a reserved accountant to a woman on the run with only one thing to lose—the love of her life. I loved witnessing Theresa’s self-discovery. Her risk taking increases with her self-awareness and confidence. “We live together, or we die together.” Antonio remains powerful, possessive, passionate and protective. He has grown into a man who can value a woman as an equal partner, not just a homemaker. Theresa’s full acceptance of Antonio’s past, gives him permission to hope for a future with her. “Some things are in the stars. I was meant to protect you. And you were meant to rule.” There is a myriad of secondary characters in Rule. Some had roles in the previous books, while others are new. They’re all interesting and they all contribute greatly to the story. No further discussion on those characters as that would spoil the adventure. Rule, the third book of the Corruption series, is action-packed from the first page to the last. CD Reiss had my heart pounding in my chest as the story reached its crescendo. Yes, there are some sex scenes. Yes, there’s a moving love story, but more than anything, this is a big-screen, summer-box office-smash-hit, action thriller. CD Reiss has again proven why she “rules” the indie author scene.

Rule is the third and final book in the Corruption Series and completes Antonio and Theresa's story. This is one of my favorite books ever. This book grips you and doesn't let go. I had to stop and take a break near the end because my heart was accelerating along with the pace of the book. I did not know who would live and who would die, I just wanted them to live together or die together. In the end, I was sobbing. Were they happy tears or sad'll have to read to find out. This will be one of my most cherished books and favorite series ever. Perfetto finale!

This book was the final book about Antonio and Theresa, they have had their ups and downs throughout this series. It picked up where it left of in Ruin, where they were leaving because of the failed wedding between Antonio and Irene. I love this story because it allows us to see that two people, even from different sides of the law can be together and in love. There were times that I wanted to cry and then there were times when I wanted to laugh so hard. I'm trying really hard not to give away any spoilers, C.D. it's an awesome writer. I started with Songs of Submission an vs now I can't get enough of her stories. If you are looking for a new author to read then C.D. is one you'll love. Thanks so much for Antonio and Theresa.
