While reading this book one has to return to previous pages in order to keep the characters straight, but it's worth it. This book was not only well written but provides the reader with twists and turns that are completely unexpected. Christopher Reich makes you feel like you are there with the characters. The storyline is fascinating and his knowledge of Swiss banking and Clandestine Agencies is remarkable. This author did his homework. RULES OF VENGEANCE, which is now out,is not as fascinating, a bit easier to predict the outcome, but it certainly allows the characters to come full circle. I loved the first book, but perhaps reading them back to back was not a very wise choice on my part. However, the second is a great read.

From the first page the hook is set! Every chapter keeps you on the edge with action and suspense packed into every page. It delivers everything I hoped for in a suspense thriller and more.

If you enjoy international espionage thrillers like me, then you might enjoy it. I just found the plot and the characters, specially the villains, so familiar now and yet so unrealistic..but all of them are. I've read other Christopher Reich's novels and this is not the best for me.

A fast paced page turner but requires a suspension of analytical thought as the plot is implausible and requires belief in a lot of unlikely circumstances.
