FANTASTIC READ!! I am so glad I took a chance on this great novel. I won't go into the plot, as it has been discussed, but this is an amazing, unique story. The author has a way of writing that I felt I was walking among the Heather, climbing the cliffs, running for my life. My heart ached for both our H/H. The secondary character's are just as interesting and exciting. If you're looking for mad, descriptive love scenes, this isn't it. But, even though you know what they are doing (within marriage), the feeling of their love comes through. I highly recommend this great book. (ljb)

An impoverished governess, an arrogant lord and an impending revolution. An old story but one with a new twist. Thoroughly enjoyable. I couldn't stop turning the pages. Plenty of action and romance. Good read.

I enjoy reading historical romances. This one took me on a wild ride through the Scottish country side. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.

I received an ARC for an honest review. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this story. The heroine is a strong female that wants to stand on her own two feet, but is realistic about how she can accomplish this. The hero of the story is a caught up in politics and is worried about losing the family lands, raising his troubled nephew and not wanting to have feelings for his new governess. The depths that he willingly goes through to prove his dedication was impressive. I enjoyed the characters and was emotionally involved with the characters. The political climate was one that I had to get used to and took a minute for me to put those characters in their respective case. All in all, I was very happy with the story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
