Resentment is something we can all relate to. But when it comes to the degree of resent by David Marks we cant help but shake our heads. This novel is set in the form of a first person narrative that is mostly flashbacks into David, the main character's, life. I would strongly recommend this book because it has a very diverse setting which takes place in New York after David's father's funeral. David is making a long entry in his journal which is mostly hindsight and the coming to terms of where he and his father's relationship took a turn for disowning. I would also recommend this book because of its artful sentence structures. You don't exactly see that often in this genre but since this was written ahead of it's time in 1970 by Barbara Wersba, I would say it is an excellent read
