Thalos has one goal in life – to enjoy his luxurious existence hassle free.
As a Centaur shifter, he is used to being on the outside, rejected by the other equine shifters, and it suits him fine. But then the powerful Seer arrives and asks him to babysit a bereaved female horse shifter. The altogether too gorgeous and innocent Ariadne, soon casts a spell on Thalos. As he struggles to maintain his cool around the young female, things between them heat up.
Ariadne is traumatised, bereaved, and totally lost in the new, opulent world she’s thrust into. Her strict background hasn’t prepared her for the likes of the charismatic but jaded Thalos.
They are the last two people who should be together, but that doesn’t stop them from craving one another.
Events overtake them and suddenly Thalos faces losing the only person he’s cared about in centuries.
Can he win Ariadne’s heart before it’s too late?

Ride Into The Sunset.... God I love horses, this story really tore at my heartstrings. The atrocities committed against Ariadne's herd just to gain possession of their lands and what's terrible is the fact that things like this really do happen! Thalos a centaur who was shunned shunned by horse shifters because of what he is, wants no part of the Seer Ayina's plan. He cannot and will not show this filly the ways of the humans after all her kind has never wanted anything to do with him.. But he owes Ayina all that he is, what the crafty seer never told him was the beauty that the girl is... He is at once captivated, not only by her beauty, but by her innocence as well... But will the filly be the one to tame the big bad sexy centaur? The pure innocence and the passion that is born and then love is breathtaking.
I love this series! Each book is a standalone by a different author and Skye Jones' is the next installment and it's right up there with the rest of them. A wonderful story! Thalos is a Centaur shifter who has been around for many centuries and doesn't really have any joy or happiness in his life. So when the Seer comes to him, wanting him to help a young horse shifter ( Ariadne ) whose herd had just attacked leaving only her and 2 very older males as survivors, he agrees to help. When Ariadne arrives at Thalos', she is completely out of her comfort zone. Her herd usually spent almost all of their lives living as horses, shifting only a few times a year into their human forms. So Thalos' job is to get Ariadne comfortable with being human more often so she will be able to blend in better with the humans. This is where it goes really good. Skye has done a wonderful job of detailing and describing their feeling, hopes, insecurities, pain, heartache, and finally their happiness. Her writing flows smoothly and I think that she is an excellent story teller. I absolutely love her writing. I recommend this book and author. I volunteered to read a pre-release copy for my honest opinion and my honest opinion is: This is a good book and you should check it out!
