Meet the Author

Nobuhiro Watsuki earned international accolades for his first major manga series, Rurouni Kenshin, about a wandering swordsman in Meiji Era Japan. Serialized in Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1994 to 1999, Rurouni Kenshin quickly became a worldwide sensation, inspiring a spin-off short story ("Yahiko no Sakabato"), an animated TV series, and several animated movies. Watsuki's latest series, Buso Renkin, also available in English from VIZ Media, began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump in June 2003.

This Manga is wonderful!!!! Not only does it have action for all you sword-lovin people, but it has humor too. Not really gory - or anything of the like. The thing I love about Rurouni Kenshin is the humor.

ok dude let's put this plain and simple. Don't question just buy. This is by far the greatest manga I've ever read and is my favorite anime too. This manga has alot (when I say alot I mean alot) of action, talking, and humor. And to make the deal even better it's only $7.95 instead of $10.00. note: still rated older teen (I still think it should be rated teen but that's ok). It rules buy it!

every time i read a manga, none has stricken me with awe greater than that of Rurouni Kenshin. Kenshin himself is hot to begin with, but drawn in black in white, he looks even better. A must-read for all you female otakus out there who love violence and hot samurai...with historical values of course...^.^;

This is a great graphic novel. The art and wording is great. It's about Kenshin trying to get Karou back from Jin-E another Hitokiri, but kenshin can't win unless he goes back to his old ways. Can he save Karou or become a hitokiri again? you'll just have to read. You can also read my reviews for Samurai X trust and betrayel directors cut, Samurai X reflection

Rurouni Kenshin is a story about Kenshin Himura, the wandererer. He was Hitokiri Battosai in the Revolution, but for reasons we don't know he is now a wanderer that has a reverse bladed weapon. Without a doubt Kenshin is one of the best series to come out on anime and manga. The manga is better in many aspects, especially the awesome translation job that Viz did. It has the Jinchuu arc (manga 18-28) which is actually considered superior to the Kyoto Arc (manga 7-17), but they both have share awesome storytelling with an amazing script. Later on in the series, the battles get more intense, and the duels get ever better choreographed. Just reading the first two will take your breath away with it's intensity and power, imagine how it will be later on when the story get far better and the duels take even more time to flesh out. I will say that this is an awesome manga for beginners and otaku alike because it has many aspects that appeal to both. The story is awesome, the drawing is gorgeous, the designs are top notch, and it combines comedy, romance, and action in an impeccable package. Oh yeah, and it has very strong appeal with both male and female readers. Girls will love the strong female characters in the story, and the designs for the guys. While the guys will love the action and the tension filled storyline. This is a must buy...what are you doing reading this? Go buy a copy right now!!!!

Kenshin is seriously one of the Gods of Shounen Manga/Anime. Period. One cannot be an otaku and not have seen or watched Kenshin sometime or other. This volume in particular, with Jin-eh is so, so cool! I don't wanna hit any spoilers, although most people probably already know the basic plot, but this particular fight, although not against the strongest enemy ever *cough* Shishio *cough* Enishi, is still soo cool. Must see!!!
