Rusty Cars and Fallen Stars is the story of teacher George Butler's mission to reunite a troubled high school student, Lacy Richman, with her estranged alcoholic father who lives at Coy Newhouser's salvage and pre-owned automobile business. Newhouser's, located along a stretch of highway in rural Virginia, becomes a stage for family drama, educational debate, and spiritual warfare.
