Dan Allender has written a beautiful book that gives freedom to a person that is seeking the meaning of Sabbath that God has commanded of His followers. It is so motivating to practice the Sabbath with creativity, freedom and in anticipation after reading this book. I'm reading it for the second time now and enjoying it in different ways and even more appreciation of his writing skills and heart felt words within his writing. This book is settling to the soul to read and I recommend it to all that are desiring to discover Sabbath in their daily living. This book sends me to a peaceful heart and soul and the God that desires it for me.

Sabbath The ancient Practices Series Dan B. Allender Thomas Nelson, 2009 ISBN: 9780849901072 Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com, 02/09 5 Stars An overlook of the Sabbath. This is the third book in the Ancient Practices Series. Dan B, Allendar, author of Sabbath, offers readers an overview of a misunderstood day. The Sabbath is a day to delight in the Lord. We are to separate ourselves from the stress of our lives and celebrate the joy of God our creator. Allendar uses the Hebrew word Menuha (tranquility) to help define Sabbath. He takes back to through history to study how the Israelites used the Sabbath through present day and our misconceptions. Beautifully written, this book will help you to find your own Sabbath.
