I used to believe Sacramento was a tiny, hick city that happened to be the capitol of my state. Until I moved there, and began seeing the beauty of the city itself and the whole area of Northern California! Sactown (as it is called at times) has been steadily growing in its maturity as a modern city, and its architecture. Old, Victorian neighborhoods and a brand new sports arena downtown define the ends of the many books that tell the story of Sacramento. What Michele and Steve have down is spin an amazing tapestry of narrative and photographs of this city. Steve's photography is stunning. Not only in the high quality of the image, but also the composition of the story he is telling. I have shot with him a few times, and his ability add his eye to what I was doing was invaluable! That eye, his patience, his skill, and his kindness showed me what kind of unique person he is. There are many talented photographers out there, but not many have this kind of gift. I recommend this book if you are from Northern California and specifically from the Sacramento area. You will see how truly unique and beautiful our city is. I recommend this book if you are from anywhere in California because THIS is your capitol! and you will not see it any better than in this book. Lastly I recommend this book to anyone who is a lover of fine photography as you will be inspired to go out and learn more! Bravo Steve!
