William C. Gough, co-founder of The Foundation of Mind Being Research says it this way:
"Grand Master Greg Yau has developed a methodology for promoting health and body strength based upon the ancient techniques that give foundation to Shaolin Gong Fu. It uses the physical body as the foundation for connecting to the Universal Energy of the Absolute. This process for strengthening the body can provide a pathway for a person to reach enlightenment and represents the spiritual aspects of these ancient practices. The process involves working with not only the anatomy of the physical body, but with one's mind and energy body - i.e. the subtle energy flows of the acupuncture and meridian systems."

How Prime Life Qi Gong Uses Quantum Physics to Enhance Fitness
"The physicist and the mystic follow different paths: they have different technical goals in view; they use different tools and methods; their attitudes are not the same. However, in the world picture ... they perceive the same basic structure, the same reality.
As the physicist Fritjof Capra concluded: "In contrast to the mystic, the physicist ... by studying the material world is penetrating into ever-deeper realms of matter, he is becoming aware of the essential unity of all things and events. More than that, he is learning that he himself and his consciousness are an integral part of this unity.
Thus the mystic and the physicist arrive at the same conclusion about the reality within; one starting from the inner realm, the other from the outer world ..."
Matter-Being Project: Wing Pon(www.mmdnewswire.com/matter-being-project-4961.html)
Modern science is beginning to clearly demonstrate what the ancients always knew and have expressed through Sacred Geometry. Science is revealing an underlying, coded architecture easily apparent in the mathematical precision of the wave's spiral. Water gives form to these geometric frequencies.
How Do We Use Modern Physics to Enhance Fitness?
Grand Master Yau uses a simple metaphor to define Quantum Physics. He asks: "Is a wave made of water? Or is it made of all the forces of nature – little sacks of energy? Is the wave of blood coursing through our veins made of blood? Or is it made of crystallized light?"
William C. Gough, who has worked closely with Grand Master Yau for many years, explains: "GM Yau assumes that an underlying prime energy exists to which the body can connect –- a "Mother" language or "Language of God" that is embedded in all of Nature. This Mother language, GM Yau believes, is the basis or foundation for all other energy and physical activities. It is thus at the heart of how one excels and benefits from sports, Qi Gong, the martial arts, etc. Hence, Greg's method provides a tool for optimizing the benefits from many other practices.
To establish a strong linkage to the prime energy requires the proper mental thoughts and intentions. The linkage can be further facilitated by observation of appropriate body movements and symbols. These movements and symbols transfer information into the body via one's mirror neurons (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Mirror_neuron). In addition, the symbols can be encoded to enhance this ancient process.
GM Yau believes that his process will become the basis for a science for connecting one's body to both the earth's energy (grounding) and to the Universal Energy of the Absolute. As one's physical awareness and sensitivity to the quality of the energy increases a person becomes capable of establishing different degrees of body balance. Qi Gong, as taught by GM Yau, trains the body mind to "instinctively" respond to external threats and conditions ... in an optimum manner."
This book, Sacred Ground, Path to Recovery, begins to translate Grand Master Yau's vision of how the body connects to that Mother Language. GM Yau has devoted his life to organizing and demonstrating the power of Prime Life Force Qi Gong. Regular practice of these subtle energy movements and exercises connects the earth's energy (grounding) to the Universal Energy of the Absolute through the practitioner. When the body, mind and spirit work as one, the practitioner experiences internal strength, energy, enhanced health and well-being.
GM Yau has collaborated with scientists and scientific groups throughout California and internationally.
After working extensively together Dr. Wing Pon, Physicist and Director of the Matter Being Project, writes: "To prove his ... scientific theories and discoveries in the field of physics to fitness ... Wing Pon collaborated with GM Greg Yau, a respected martial arts instructor and fitness/peak performance coach. Pon and Yau have spent the past six years in experimentation that has resulted in their co-creating a dynamic new system for fitness.
Through body movements and postures, GM Yau and Wing Pon have been able to demonstrate not only quantum physiology, but also physiology obeying zero-point (vacuum physics). Pon and Yau discovered how to tap the potential of zero-point energy and, as a result, have revolutionized the field of fitness."
Grand Master Yau trains students using classic forms taught with precision, simple yet profound breathing exercises, mudras, sounds, affirmations and visualizations. GM Yau consistently demonstrates that when the body mind is grounded, this foundational connection can be tested. Coordination, balance and body mind spirit integration is enhanced by these practices. Prime Life Force Qi Gong is a moving meditation for the 21st Century.
What Are the 5 Essential Prime Life Force (PLF) Skills?
Qi Gong exercises train the practitioner to:
1. Balance organs using breath, sound and mudras
2. Direct the Qi using the hands and the breath ~ Five Element Breath
3. Align, relax and allow the Qi to flow
4. Locate, listen and visualize the Acupoints
5. Easily access a calm and energized state.
Learning Qi Gong is like learning to swim by jumping into a gently moving river. It is safe and fun. And the water is deep and mysterious and requires your full and ongoing attention. Chinese philosophy tells us that the body's fluids and energy flow as channels and rivers. Good health depends on the body and the mind's ability to maintain a balanced and harmonious internal environment.
Science is demonstrating the benefits of internal strength and harmony. In an article published by the Institute of Noetic Sciences entitled Neurotheology: The Crucible of Religion [http://noetic.org/noetic/ issue-twenty-two-may/neurotheology-the-crucible-of-religion/], Hunt Henion PhD writes scientists have found Tibetan Buddhist monks are less moody and suffer ailments less frequently than other people? The Dalai Lama wondered if the practices the monks engage in could be shared for everyone's benefit. Studies conducted by the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, part of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, found benefits of mindfulness techniques include: reduction in stress, chronic pain and illness, anxiety and panic, GI distress, sleep disorders, fatigue, high blood pressure, and headaches. Similar studies found meditation may change brain and immune function in positive ways.
GM Yau asks, do our bodies comprise a set of building blocks that are separate and have little effect on other things, like atoms and molecules? Or, are we able to connect with the unity of life itself and tap into unlimited energy and internal strength?
What do ancient teachings reveal about how to align body mind and spirit with the architecture of the universe?
"Once you start deliberately offering thought, then you can never offer enough action to keep up with the thought. Once you access the Energy that creates worlds, a huge vortex comes into place, and there's just not enough action for you to keep up with that. And so, what you have to do is visualize every step of the way, envision you happy in the process. Envision things in place, envision people catching on. Just envision it working. Skip over the how and the where and the when and the who -- and just stay focused upon the what and the why. Abraham" Esther Hicks
Qi Gong demonstrates the possibility that our bodies are made of subtle energy fields, communicating with one another and with life itself, morphing continuously to create this mystery we call our lives. Qi Gong has its roots in ancient Shaolin Temple philosophies. The underlying assumption is that we generate a state of health and fitness by tapping into unlimited universal energy with a calm peaceful state of mind.
Standing and Moving Qi Gong Exercises align the posture, open the breath and direct the life force into the vortex that runs through the center of our being. Prime Life Healing Qi Gong routines enhance stability of the body, mind and spirit and balance the Qi and blood circulation systems. The conscious, subconscious, and super-conscious minds are trained together.
Science and ancient philosophies are applied together with every movement. Internal harmony is expressed through the principle of yin and yang. Two opposing forces unite and everything in the universe is born. Opposites flow with one another bringing life into balance. YIN energy is thought of as cold, dark, and wet, quiet and still. YANG energy is bright, warm and dry, dynamic, active, and expansive.
Qi is the prime life force, the energy essential for life. All body functions derive from Qi. When the harmony of Yin and Yang is disturbed, the energy currents known as Qi are interrupted or blocked in some way. Health is vibrant when there is a sufficient, balanced, and unimpeded flow of Qi. Because of these Qi Gong practices, I find myself standing in the center of my path, trusting life and moving forward with confidence. And for this healing journey of discovery I am most grateful. Now, we will delve more deeply into the gift of self-healing and Qi Gong.
Using Breath, Sound and Mudras to Balance the Organ Systems
We live in a sea of frequencies. The question is: What frequencies are you resonating with? What do you want to be in resonance with? We use sounds and their frequencies to tune the body to the Prime Life Force. Sounds and mudras enable us to communicate with our bodies. Through our intention and with the help of vibration, mudras and symbols, we harmonize and balance our internal organs.
Five Element Breathing uses color, sound, mudras and directions to balance various organ systems. For example a Qi Gong routine might use the heart mudra and the haa breath. Then just as yang follows from yin and yin flows out of yang, we follow with the small intestine, Snake mudra and the hao breath. The movements, breaths and sounds calm the heart and mind. The result is relaxation, even a grounded bliss.
Five Element Breath: Directing the Qi using Your Hands and the Breath. In mere moments a day these easy and calming breathing exercises:
Improve Mental Awareness
Balance Your Moodiness
Increase Your Energy
Calm Your Nerves
Quiet the Mind
Instincts & Intuition
The purpose is to activate an Acupoint and access our Prime Life Energy. The result is improved circulation and a strengthening of your body's internal organs. Let's do a simple exercise.
Directing the Movement of the Qi:
Lift both palms up towards the sternum, to guide the Qi while suctioning in the breath
Continue lifting palms up past the heart taking another smaller breath
Breathe out using the Haw breath
Repeat 3 times
Smile. Breathe naturally and easily and notice how you feel.
We will introduce this exercise periodically throughout the book, each time deepening it by adding an Acupoint, breath or mudra. By the end of the book, you will be able to direct the Qi with your hands, turn on Acupoints with your attention and change your mood with a few simple breaths. We will bring all the exercises together and practice while Qi walking or in the Natural Response Stance (NRS).
Qi Gong is a training method for healing the self. Perfecting the practice over time teaches the practitioner to:
1) Actively re-educate the body's biomechanics
2) Easily tap into a calm state of mind throughout the course of the day
3) Consciously enjoy the experience of changing a long held habit
4) Discover it is well within your control to give yourself a happy, healthy life
Maintain Core Body Alignment. Relax and Allow the Qi to Flow
You may wonder, why do we need perfect body mechanics? Those of us who drive cars know it takes regular maintenance to keep our cars running in tune. Race drivers are keenly aware the whole car needs regular overhauls to ready it for being pushed to the limit on the race track.
In the 1970's to 1990's, the slogan was 'If it's not fast and powerful, it is not Wing Chun.' Qi Gong gives power to Wing Chun Kung Fu and Grand Master Greg Yau is a Wing Chun as well as a Qi Gong Master. That is what Kung Fu students went for: power then the speed. For 14 years, I went full speed with full power. Needless to say, I've spent the last 27 years putting myself back together. Using reverse technology [an understanding of how the body's energy flows, yin/yang energetic balance, and proper biomechanics], I was able to locate the root of the injuries and learned techniques to heal even my oldest injuries.
For the past 15 years, putting everything aside, I went after my dream: to understand why Wing Chun Kung Fu is so important in my life. Science and ancient Chinese philosophies were combined, the answer finally coming in my 40th year. Sacred geometry, theoretical physics, and ancient Chinese knowledge all observe similar functional results regarding human energy systems.
According to physicist Wing Pon, if it works, it has to be simple. For example, geometric drawings of the Tree of life depicted within the structure of the Flower of Life illustrations are actually representations of the body's energy flows, a map if you will. The point locations of the ' Tree of Life' correlate with Acupoints within the physical body. The power of Prime Life Healing practices is derived from this understanding of the energy anatomy and its precise relationship with the physical body. Simple may not be easy though. Many of us have experienced a moment that changed our lives. Mine came in a seminar on quantum physics with this statement: "Everything you see is an illusion. The only thing that is true is beauty, and beauty is symmetry."
My understanding of symmetry led to the co-creation of a healing system through strengthening the body's energy supply systems. It is also a shortcut to mastering your art. Lots of practice helps, but perfect practice, makes perfect. In order to get stronger and faster, symmetry and perfect body mechanics are fundamental.

Listen to Your Body. Direct the Qi Visualizing the Acupoints
Qi Gong is renowned as a practice that enhances long life. It does so by opening the body and connecting the spirit to the Qi, the zero point "vacuum energy." Information is stored in the vacuum and accessed through the Acupoints.
Grand Master Yau says that for each basic Qi Gong posture or stance one Acupoint is chosen to balance and strengthen the stance. Using the imagination to visualize the body's Qi system strengthens and protects the entire body. The human being is the most complicated machine in the world. Grand Master Greg Yau has taken a complex system and made it easy to learn. Remember, the primary purpose of learning and practicing our Prime Life Healing system is for good health and longevity.
Our practices are easy to perform and very practical. People with arthritic knees tend to not bend their knees when they walk, developing a stiff gait. Qi Gong exercises help increase the knee and hip flexibility. The gentle movements of these ancient Chinese exercises help even very elderly people find pain relief. For instance, the "Healing Hands" exercises; illustrated later in the book, bring new flexibility and power to the hands. During practice, we playfully allow the hands to ride wave of the Qi, releasing tension and the free flow of energy through the hands and arms. The exercise reduces pain and produces a wonderful emotional sweetness that people of all ages enjoy.
Tap into a Calm, Energized State
There are four secrets to releasing pain and promoting rejuvenation:
1. Daily Practice and developing a Moment to Moment Awareness of the PLF (Prime Life Force)
2. Training Perfect Body Mechanics to Aid Qi Flow
3. Learning to Generate a Positive Attitude Consistently
4. Cultivate a Strong Energetic Foundation
