Jay M. McCollum is Emma’s father. While Emma came up with the ideas and illustrations for Sad Cloud, Happy Cloud; it was Jay’s job to make sure that the ideas flowed properly. He is extremely proud of his talented little girl!

CHAPTER 1

Once upon a time, high up in the sky lived two friends. Their names were Sad and Happy Cloud.

Like the names suggested, Sad was often sad and Happy was mostly happy.

One rainy day, Happy noticed that Sad was crying. "What's the matter, buddy?" he asked.

Sad continued his crying spell. While sniffling, he replied, "Nobody ever wants to play when I am outside!"

"It's okay, big guy, let's try to calm down a little bit," Happy said. A little time passed, and Sad stopped crying.

All of a sudden, they heard laughing and playing!

They also noticed that their good friend, Sun, had arrived. Sad and Happy were both glad that Sun came to visit them!

While Sad, Happy, and Sun were talking, a little girl pointed up to them and yelled, "Look!"
