'Sales Careers' is the perfect book for someone just entering the sales field, or considering sales. The authors follow the stories of different sales people, so you get to 'ride along' with that person for a few days. It helps to open your eyes to the wide variety of sales positions out there, and helps you to think through the type of sales job that might be right for you, from selling cosmetics to medical devices to houses. Most questions you would want to ask are covered, and most importantly how and where to begin. What strengths do you have that will contribute to sales? and how do I present those in an interview and a job? These are thoroughly discussed, and I think that knowledge will give you power when ready to begin. Again, I think it's excellent for the person just beginning --but as a current medical device rep, I found the chapter on sales career paths, as well as the up-to-date examples of various resumes, and cover letters invaluable. I will refer back to this book when I am ready to make changes in my career path.
