Book #2 in the Chastity Falls Series
Chastity Falls was supposed to be Ana Parry’s fresh start. But what started as her salvation soon became her undoing.
Four months after losing the very thing that gave her reason again, Ana is back at Chastity Falls. Holding on by a thread and trying hard to forget about Jackson isn’t easy when she’s determined to uncover the Donohue’s biggest secrets.
Jackson Pierce knew he was playing with fire when he pursued the girl with pain in her eyes. But there was something about her and he just had to know more.
Walking away from Ana was the hardest thing he’s ever done, and four months on, he refuses to forget. He can’t. Rising tensions with Reibeckitt Valley mean Ana is still in harm’s way and, this time, Jackson is determined to protect her—at all costs.
Loyalty drove them apart, but will secrets piece them back together? Or tear them apart for good?
Salvation will be earned, secrets will be unveiled. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

Just as with the first book, this book has a cliffhanger ending. I loved this second installment though in this series! After Jackson walked away from Ana, she went home for the summer only to return back to Chastity Falls with her still shattered heart. Things with Braiden continue to escalate with the area rivals. After an incident that could have killed people, Jackson is only concerned about Ana. He knows that he needs her in his life and is willing to walk away from his family. Meanwhile, Ana has spent the summer digging into Jackson's family and has a lot of unanswered questions. I read this book again in a day and I'm so excited to see how this wraps up! Love Jackson and Ana! I am loving Ana's group of friends, too, and now Dennis as he has entered Jackson's fold. These characters are well written and I love the story. Just when you are hoping things will die down, there is another twist. Marcus Donahue won't let Jackson just walk away from the family or will he? I can't wait to see what happens in book 3!
After reading the first book in this series I was looking forward to digging into this one. I was definitely left with no regrets. The first thing I loved about this book was that it was written in alternating person. We FINALLY get to see Jackson's side of the story. I loved reading about the push and pull he initially felt toward where he thought his loyalties lied. I also enjoyed reading about his feelings for Ana. It's always enjoy reading the "love perspective" from the guy's side as well. This book kept me on edge. There was never a moment when I didn't want to know what was happening next. I have to admit though, I wasn't expecting the book to end the way it did. I knew it would leave me hanging but definitely not like that. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment and finding out what is in store for Ana and Jackson next.
This is Book 2 in the Chastity Falls Series. You do need to have read Book 1 (Loyalty and Lies) before reading Salvation and Secrets. Book 2 picks up where Book 1 left off. Book 1 had a huge cliffhanger so I was happy to see that being addressed right in the begging. As in Book 1, there was a lot of angst for me reading this book. I just wanted to jump in there and help the characters sort things out so we wouldn’t have to go through all the agony of watching them destroy themselves and each other. My eyes welled up with tears a few times while reading this book. I don’t do that often but this series does it to me! There were times where it felt like my heart was being ripped out. The writing in this series is fantastic. I don’t usually get as emotionally invested in characters as I did with this. My emotions were all over the place: worry, joy, heartache, giddiness, unease, and so much more! Based on the ending, I can see that there is at least one more book in this series, which I am really thankful for as I am not ready to let this storyline go!
Salvation and Secrets begins where Loyalty and Lies (Book 1) ended. After the summer, Ana is no longer a freshman. Now, she is a sophomore at Chastity Falls, but she is determined to not make the same mistakes from the previous year. When she first met Jackson, she was lost and wasn't looking to be dragged into anything that would put her in danger. Jackson's family, the Donohue's, warn him about the implications of choosing Ana over the family; however, the damage may have already been done. When Ana goes out on the town to let off some steam and enjoy the company of her girlfriends, it comes back to Jackson that she could be in danger because of their history together. What hoops must Jackson jump or what loyalties must he face to protect her, to protect his family at all costs? Does he have to make another choice that he may regret? My favorite character in this story is Dennis. He is on the football team with Jackson, but does not suck up to Braiden Donohue like every other player. Dennis befriends Jackson and helps him with Braiden's temper as well as Ana's salvation. Since she starts to fall into that deep depression from her past loss, Jackson must figure out a way to save her. Dennis keeps Jackson's secrets safe which is the best thing that Jackson could have ever asked for, a friend in the inner circle. I recommend Salvation and Secrets to those who like to read romance, mystery and young adult novels. Since this is book two of the Chastity Falls series, it is not a stand alone and should be read after book one called Loyalty and Lies. I rate this novel with five stars because the story line is original, the pace is nice and steady and the characters are all complex and determined. I look forward to reading the third in this series.
"You are not just some crush or phase. You. Are. It. My salvation" Wow! Just wow! I am so blown away! Salvation and Secrets had it all! Angst, Romance, Drama, and Suspense! After the way things ended in Loyalty and Lies, I've been dying to find out what would happen next for Jackson and Ana. And let me tell you I was not disappointed. I was sucked into the story from the first page. My heart just broke for Ana. I hurt so deeply for her. Each time she had to see or be around Jackson, it was like a little part of her broke. And Jackson...Ugh! I know how hard this decision was for him to make. But, even knowing that, it didn't make me feel better. I just wanted them to find a way back to each other..... The ending....I loved the way this story ended. I had one of the biggest smiles on my face and was like "yeah, things are about to get crazy". The next book is going to be a complete ride and I can not wait to get my hands on it. *I was provided an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
