Salvation's Last Call is an adventure novel written with a pastor's heart. The story is written from the first person as the reader is introduced to Peter Kensington. Kensington is a professor of archaeology and a student of the scriptures. Kensington felt called by God to travel to Anatolia (Turkey) to search for Noah's Ark. Kensington meets a wealthy benefactor who is willing to fund his trip. The setting of the story is the 1800s. With his good friend, Jack Chandler, Kensington is off on a lengthy adventure to Anatolia. Early on we learn that Kensignton is a devout Christian. Chandler has no use for matters of faith. Throughout the novel, their differing world views collide as they meet one challenge after another. Although Kensington is eager to locate the Ark, throughout the story we see that his heart is with his wife that he left back home. Kensington will find that he and those around him will discover many life changing lessons during the course of his trip. I give this novel my highest recommendation, especially for those who would enjoy reading an adventure story with many encouraging messages.
