Sam is an eight year old boy who lives in the small Texas town of Utopia. Sam's parents are divorced and he lives with mom. In Sam's Hero a new family moves in to the house next door. Sam meets Bobby and they spend the day together playing superheroes. Sam learns that Bobby's father is ill and needs a miracle. Bobby explains to Sam that he wished there were real superheroes who could come and heal his father. Sam shares Jesus with Bobby and explains that Jesus is still in the business of making miracles.

About the Author
Author J.P. Ruiz is a father of four children, two beautiful girls and two wonderful boys.He is married to the most beautiful and gracious woman in the world, Esmeralda Ruiz (Emmy). Emmy also edits all of Ruiz's work. He is a disabled veteran of the Gulf War. Ruiz worked as a Law Enforcement officer for over ten years where he specialized in crimes against children. He investigated cases involving child abuse and neglect. God gave him a heart to minister to children through his books. Ruiz currently serves on the ministry team at his church's children program. He has been called to the ministry to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and their parents through his stories. He states, "The books I write are not mine, they belong to Jesus Christ and I pray they bless your life and lives of those you share them with."
