About the Author

T. Patrick grew up in Oak Park, IL. He lives with his wife and five children in Madison, Wisconsin. They travel to Cape Cod each summer.

T. Patrick Mulroe,Jr. is from Oak Park, IL. During college he found a 'second family' on Cape Cod when he was looking for a place to live. On a cold winter morning he stepped into a church in Hyannis, Saint Frances Xavier. As he stepped out of the church he saw a sign that read GUESTS. The front door was open. Muriel MacKenzie rented him a room. That night Muriel's oldest daughter informed him that her mother said he resembled her husband, Frances. When he left to go back to Oak Park, IL Muriel told him he would return to Cape Cod because he had 'sand between his toes'--she could tell. For the next several years he divided his time between Oak Park and Cape Cod. When he and his wife were married in Hyannis Port at Saint Andrew's By The Sea Muriel MacKenzie and her family members were there with them. He lives with his wife and five children in Monona, WI. They spend summers on Cape Cod, MA.
